This hotel is a seemingly nice-upscale place. But the longer I stayed, the more and more problems I had. The main common areas are clean and polished, however when you get into some areas of the hotel it is grossly old and dirty. Also, the hotel was doing renovation on one of their restaurants while I was staying there. However, they... More

We stayed almost three weeks in Schonbrunn Hotel. The service and the people are very kind. The restarurant is very expensive. Breakfast is mostly for Chinese people however you can find scrambled eggs, olives and cornflakes. Suit rooms have a kitchen inside and you can find everything from the market Auchan which is walking ten minutes to the Hotel. The bed... More

We stayed at the Schonbrunn Hotel in Beijing because we're on a tour and had to stay there. It is way out as far west as far as you can go on the Fourth Ring Road and not close to anything. The foyer is lovely with marble floors which were constantly swept by maids. However, they should have given these... More

The hotel does not have a swimming pool but was told that there is one nearby. I believe this hotel caters for tour groups as evident from the amount of people at the breakfast room each morning. While there is a fairly large variety of food offered both western and eastern, the food is the same for the eight nights... More

Was in Beijing with my family during christmas. Hotel was alright but the chef by the name of George he shouldn't be there cos he was rude and not compromising with the omelette station. Is normal as we are on your and we needed our breakfast as quick possible and he refuse to start till 8.00 am as a chef... More

We spent a total of 5 nights in Beijing in September, including 3 nights at the Schonbrunn hotel. This hotel was part of our tour, so we didn't have any choice. The hotel common areas are nice and new, and certainly the exterior architecture is quite nice. The staff did their best to help, however none of the staff except... More

The rate at this hotel is actually quite low compared with other hotels of similar quality in Beijing. The room is small, but comparable with other hotels in Beijing of similar class. The gym was finally opened (last year it was closed) and while it was functional but very limited in equipment. The location is not convenient at all and... More

Stayed here in May 2012 for 4 nights, as part of 3 day beijing tour and an extra day on our own. Overall hotel was decent, had amenities and facilities nearby. Because it is not in the touristy part of town, there is lots of local flavor if you're willing to explore around the hotel. Pros: Rooms are spacious: 2... More

After a long flight the hotel was a lovely respite. Great amenities. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable. Our tour guide dealt with check-in process which did not take very long. Not a big fan of Beijing as a city, but the hotel was great.

Usually you take the service attitude here in Beijing with a grain of salt but for an international hotel as they claim to be, the service was one of the worst i’ve ever encountered。 The rooms are spectacular though, one of the best i‘ve stayed in China - new and bright, nice thoughtful details throughout。 HOWEVER - when we first...
