I stayed in this Hotel for the third time in january 2013. I still find the place charming and unpretentious. Good location - friendly and helpfull staff. I'll stay there again next time in Beijing :-) (Seniortraveller)

I stayed at this hotel during my travel to Beijing last month. We were travelling in a group of 15 people so we had the entire hotel to ourselves as we had booked all 7 rooms. The positive aspects are that it is located in an old part of the city, right in the middle of a hutong. And, you... More

The Guesthouse is really cool. It's more of a hostel than hotel in my opinion. Check the pics. Hotels don't normally have ping pong tables, books and bikes to be borrowed. The staff is very nice. Bobby and his wife are very helpful as are all the girls working the desk (including Gracie; a previous review gave her bad marks... More

Our family of 4 stayed here for 4 nights in July. There are 2 Templeside's - one is a hostel and right around the corner is the Templeside Deluxe courtyard house where we stayed. The neighborhood where it is situated is just delightful. A real slice of the 'old' Beijing and I would wholeheartedly recommend it. There were very few... More

Templeside was a pleasant quiet stay. We had 2 adults, 4 children stay in a 3 bunk room with private bathroom. It was clean and quiet. It's a 15min walk (holding the slowest one) to subway station,we timed it. With the kids normal pace it would take 20/25min. We got to see a lot of interesting things and try food... More

Located within a traditional Hutong near to Beijing´s City Center, Templeside offers easy acess to both, modern and traditional Beijing. The Hutong is full of small streets with markets and different tasty foodstalls. The rooms open into an traditional courtyard. Staff is nice and very helpfull. The dumpling night -every Monday- when you make and eat Chinese dumplings, was a... More

We stayed two nights in Deluxe house VIP room. It was great for family with two young adult children. Staff was so helpful in arrangements - we had a bit of trouble getting onward train reservations but they tried alternatives. Bobby was our driver to Great Wall - we left very early to beat crowds and heat - didn't matter... More

Whe've stayed in this beautiful guesthouse for 6 nights, and it was great. The layed back atmosphere, the other backpackers and the staff of Templeside made us feel at home. This guesthouse is located in one of the few remaining authentic neighborhoods of Beijing, which are a lust to the eye. There are a lot of small restaurants in the... More

We had a great stay with Bobby and co., they are really helpful and friendly. The location is great, you get a taste of real Beijing. The dumpling night was really fun too. We'd highly recommend this place.

We booked the Templeside Hotel through agoda.com and planned to arrive late at night (which we indicated in our booking). However, upon arrival we were told that there wasn't a room for us at the hotel - they had moved us to another property a "short walk away," which didn't feel particularly short after a full day of travel at...
