Our family spent 4 days/3 night at the hotel in February 2014. Upon checking in, the rooms' housekeeping was so poor and substandard, we asked for it to be vacuumee again as children suffer from hay fever and dust allergy. Despite a quick vacuum, they failed to address the extreme dustiness of the room carpets (refer to photos). Additionally, the... More

We stayed here with another family during spring break. It was Asian hospitality at its best. Where do I begin? (1) The brunch (which was included in our tour package) was the best I've ever seen: eggs made the way you want, fresh fruit, won ton soup, cheese platters, sardines and other salty fishes, waffle machine, sliced meats, cappuccino maker... Stayed here for 3 nights with my family. We had 3 rooms, and they put us next to each other, which was great. The rooms are very nice, very clean. Great choice of breakfast and nice Italian. Only the executive lounge was a bit a disappointment and need some refurbishment i think. For the rest another great Marriott experience.

Great price for stay. Huge breakfast buffet included with all types of food. Loved the fresh fruit and juices. Room was clean and had everything needed. Staff was very helpful. Most spoke enough English.

I stayed at marriot city wall for 3 days at end of march 2014. The room is clean, the breakfast is good, location is 10 minutes walking to nearest metro. Things that need to improve is service, language barrier is obvious. They give me wrong room (name register in the room is not mine), they struggle understanding english, need more... More

This hotel is lovely and distinguished looking. Nice, large, clean rooms. We stayed here with our tour group last week on our trip to China. The hotel doesnt have a gift shop, and the food is good, although not the best that we had in hotels in China...they do have Western choices as well as the Eastern choices, and the... More

The driver must have stopped at a second exit, it was not easy to find tbe reception. Then, everything turned great. The room was clean, big and quiete. Breakfast was just delicious and the... More

Stayed here in April. The lounge floor very average at best. The food quality and diversity is poor. Rooms are smelly and old. The gym does not have international channel and old towels. The buffet on the first floor also same as lounge floor for dinner at least. Definitely not marriott quality given i stay mainly at marriott.

Beijing is not short of great hotels and fine accommodations but over the years of traveling to China I have formulated my own listing of preferred places to stay and eat. Beijing Marriott City Wall is one of the best and certainly one of my favorite. Located in the center of the city, not fat from the old railway station,... More
