This hotel was one of three hotels that I stayed at while in Beijing. It is definitely a solid hotel with spacious rooms and good amenities. It is very close to the train station and the Forbidden City. The room was clean and the wifi works well. The staff was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and estimates on airport times... Everything from arrival to departure was first rate. The location was wonderful, room fabulous and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful from the moment we arrived. I want to give a particular shout out to Charlie Zhao, who is in charge of the executive lounge. She did everything possible to make our stay special, including trying... More

Beijing was the first city we traveled to on our 16-day China tour. We walked into the hotel weary after 17 hours of travel and were helped immediately by a friendly face behind the hotel's check-in desk. When we opened up the door to our room it was so luxurious - high end touches throughout. The king sized bed was... More

For our visit to Beijing, my school let us sleep in the Marriott Hotel City Wall. It was an amazing choice and an amazing stay, especially when you get used or the Chinese basic hotels. Super soft and big beds let me sleep without disturbances throughout the night. We didn't spend that much time in the hotel, which is a... More

Check in was pheasant and efficient. The room was well equipped and large. My only complaint was there were stains on the carpet, otherwise, it was clean. The bed was just ok. Breakfast buffet was very good with a wide selection of western and Chinese foods. The staff was very competent.

This is a beautiful property. Very swanky. It is within walking distance to both the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven, although both are not exactly close. It is not far to the nearest subway station. It is near the Beijing Railway Station, but that place is pretty crazy all times of the day and night. There are all... More

Stayed 4 nights. Beside the old city wall and about 10 min walk from the main Beijing railway station and near metro station. King size bed. Great bathroom. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Clean and spacious room.

Stayed there again in this Marriott. Always think this hotel is not half as good as other Marriott. Guess this and earlier stays confirmed what I actually experienced. Room is so so and some rooms can be nice. No currency exchange service and they actually asked me to use the machine to change money during the last recent trip though... More

Stayed at the City Wall Marriott a couple of nights with a very comfortable King size bed. Staffs speak good English and were friendly. The lobby is big and looks clean with a 24-hr store inside for drinks and necessities. Railway station is about 3-5 minutes walk with few small souvenir stores and bus stop/station along the way. My room... More

We stayed here for a few nights. We found this property to be excellent. Staff spoke and understood English reasonably well. They were very helpful, putting stuff in the main kitchen freezer for me. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of both Asian and Western food. (and very yummy chocolate and blueberry muffins - according to my kids) The... More
