I stayed 4 nights at the Peking International Youth Hostel. The Hostel is very well located close to a subway station and main road with frequent busses and taxis. It is in a happening location with loads of restaurants and boutique shops which throngs of Chinese tourists and young adults head to for date night. The Hostel is very clean... More

My partner and i stayed and soon realised this was more of a hotel. it was very nice and still very basic. The cafe downstairs/rooftop was done really well. The location was pefect close ton train and buses and to get around from there was perfect. The 2 HUGE things that really anooyed us was there was NO hot water... More

We stayed here a couple nights in a room with two twin beds. The staff was very sweet and friendly, and really went out of their way to help us. The room was clean, the shower nice. My only complaint is that for $80/night, they could have at least given us a bar of soap. Instead, they have a sign... More

Postive: - friendly staff, speaks good English - Nice cosy bar - short distance from metro - good location - Very good coffee & capucino - good breakfast Negative: - very hard bed - overpriced - toilets get stuck over and over again (but they fixed it) - don't eat the pizza it was hardly cooked and not tasty

Probably the best (and definitely the most floral) hostel we stayed in during a month in China. A bit pricier than some places, but it was a pleasure to stay there and the staff were very helpful. The location is great, in the heart of buzzing Nanluoguxiang.

The place is ok, the decor is ok (but far from chinese-inspired), the staff is helpful and the location close by Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City is just perfect, but the price of a room and the prices in the on location cafe is just too high.

Bike for rent=broken The Peking cafe=terrible service and overpriced Rooms: really nice equipments Toilets: better than expected Environment: really lovely My advice: you can pay around 13 pounds per night (dorm), but please dont go to the cafe the service is really disappointed and you can have the same food for less around the city. And enjoy beijing !

The place is very well located and full of flowers, that make you feel good after a day of walking arround. The street is famous and crowded, full of shops and restaurants. The metro is 2 min away, the hutongs everywhere arround and the Forbidden city not far at all. The staff is friendly (but it could be better). We... More

As a comparison, we stayed in November at the Inn of Double Happiness, which is less well located but has rooms of considerable style and comfort for about the same price as a plain but satisfactory room here. And because a really good breakfast is included at the Double Happiness, it's much better value. I just checked on the prices... More

I'll admit it - I had low expectations when I signed myself up for a room with four single beds and two bunk beds for a very affordable nightly rate, but I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. The room was the cleanest and nicest of any dorm room I've stayed - and nicer than many hotels too -... More
