Bike for rent=broken The Peking cafe=terrible service and overpriced Rooms: really nice equipments Toilets: better than expected Environment: really lovely My advice: you can pay around 13 pounds per night (dorm), but please dont go to the cafe the service is really disappointed and you can have the same food for less around the city. And enjoy beijing !

The place is very well located and full of flowers, that make you feel good after a day of walking arround. The street is famous and crowded, full of shops and restaurants. The metro is 2 min away, the hutongs everywhere arround and the Forbidden city not far at all. The staff is friendly (but it could be better). We... More

As a comparison, we stayed in November at the Inn of Double Happiness, which is less well located but has rooms of considerable style and comfort for about the same price as a plain but satisfactory room here. And because a really good breakfast is included at the Double Happiness, it's much better value. I just checked on the prices... More

I'll admit it - I had low expectations when I signed myself up for a room with four single beds and two bunk beds for a very affordable nightly rate, but I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. The room was the cleanest and nicest of any dorm room I've stayed - and nicer than many hotels too -... More

Arrived at 3am on the Eve of Chinese New Year, the night watchman came to meet our taxi to show us the way. Reception had left us a nice note! We had double room 205, it was huge & nicely furnished with red traditional type furniture, big (very hard) bed, modern bathroom & big window. Room was well heated, v... More

Stayed here for two nights. Although the room was very small, it was comfortable, warm and the bathroom was modern and clean- one of the best I have seen in China so far. Disappointing that we could not access the rooftop terrace. I found the staff to be quite friendly and helpful, although my friend who I was traveling with... More

Sutch a lovely place to stay at, so different from all the surroudings in this area. The staff puts alot of effort into their job from making amazing coffee/food to booking trips for you, helping with laundry and borrowing you towels ect. Helped us alot as we had not planned any trips ahead. The room we stayed at was perfect... More

I stayed here 2 nights during my trip in Beijing and I really appreciated this place. It's quiet (compared to the street, very noisy and crowded), nice, comfortable and very well located (5 minutes from the metro station). The staff members speaks English (a very rare quality in Beijing !) and are helpful. However, the restaurant prices are a little... More

Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of a 5 week trip in China. Lovely, clean place with lovely, helpful, English speaking staff. A quiet respite, in spite of being on a very busy Hutong street. Within walking distance of many of the biggest attractions and the wonderful Beijing subway system. The adjoining Peking Cafe, also very peaceful, is... More
