The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is very high. The hotel itself is a dated and the rooms are in need of a refresh. This is not the side of the city where the foreign guests are as prevalent, so there is also more of a challenge if you do not speak Chinese.

I chose this hotel mostly for its location as I had appointments in the district. It is not the best location. If had some sightseeing time I would not choose it. While it is not too far away from the Summer Palace it is not close to much else. There is no metro nearby and you have to rely on... More

My wife had stayed in the Sheraton 4-points hotels in Beijing for a couple of days during a business trip last week. She had exchanged $100 for local Chinese currency at the hotel front desk for some small purchases on Saturday last week. The money provided by the hotel turned out to be counterfeit as clarified by the cab-driver and... More

Great western style hotel that would compare to 4 out of 5 star hotel in united states. Rooms and bathrooms were large. Modern bathroom with lots of glass with separate shower and bathtub. When we visited in late April, the hotel didn't have air conditioning on yet which is typical of China hotel this time of the year. However our... More

Good Business Hotel in the Haidan District. Not far from the big GR Mall. The rooms are spacious and clean.Very friendly staff, but don't expect everybody to speak English. I would recommend this hotel to anyone doing business in the area, but if you're looking for a hotel to explore Beijing, I would recommend a hotel in a more central... More

After a 15 hour flight and a 4 hour walk at the forbidden city. Our tour company checked us in to this hotel! I cannot describe this anymore than a Mone painting. It looks beautiful, but once you get comfortable you begin to see the flaws!!! Once we entered our room it was extremely hot!!! My husband called the front... More

The tour agencies may list this as a five star hotel, but don't believe the hype. The facilities themselves are nice enough, in general, but service isn't very good. I know this is China, but I would think that the staff that addresses customer service needs would have a better understanding of basic English, such as a request for extra... More

From the time I walked in, to the time I left everything was great. I forgot convertors at home and there were ones in the room. The staff was really proficient in English, which made communication great and really easy. The American breakfast was also great. The rooms were standard, but the bathrooms were exceptionally nice. The decorations in the... More

this hotel is located in the heart of Beijing’s technology district – Haidian District – a short drive from major government and business organizations, research centers, Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park, and universities. The Summer Palace, the Great Wall of China, and the Olympic Stadium “Bird’s Nest”, among other popular sightseeing attractions, are all within easy access. Shopping is within... More
