Noise, uncomfortable rooms. You can hear EVERYTHING from outside and from other rooms. Internet connection is quite slow. Gym/Swimming pool close at 10 pm, what a joke! Nice TV and Denon stereo hidden in a wardrobe, to turn on/off/ volume you need to keep open wardrobe's door . Most incompetent personal I have ever seen for a so called "boutique... More

I am fortunate to be able to stay in nice hotels while traveling on business. I selected the Opposite House for my first stay in Beijing because I am a frequent guest at their sister hotel, Upper House, in Hong Kong. Opposite House is located in Sanlitun Village in the diplomatic quarter, a great place to dine, shop and go... More

I spent four nights at Opposite House, the rooms are very spacious, the swimming pool and fitness centre are great and the restaurant has one of the best pekin duck! The hotel is located in a cool area, make you feel as if you were in Tokyo and service was excellent. Staff was happy to give visits recommendations and were... More

Loved this hotel. From its spectacular foyer, to the trendy rooms (with power blinds!), the superb shower, the awesome pool, good wifi, free minibar and snacks and great food in the restaurants (chicken Parma on the menu!). The staff were all very helpful and friendly and I loved their funky outfits. Probably the best fancy hotel I've stayed at in... More

When I first checked into the hotel, I was mildly put off by its minimalism. It looked like a former warehouse put to temporary use by the Cirque du Soliel. When I first entered my king-bed room, it seemed all walls and floor. But over the course of my three-day stay, I warmed to the place. The wooden sinks, shower,... More

I used to live in Beijing and this time was after I moved to another city for 7 months. Finally I got a reason to stay at The Opposite House as a guest! What's better than someone said welcome back right when you step out from the cab? Team was very friendly and made me felt like I was in... More

We’ve spend two nights in Beijing, unfortunately a bit too short to make much use of the Hotel facilities, but what we’ve heard from our co-travelers also the pool and sauna are great. The design of the Hotel is just fantastic, just the blueprint of my dream city hotel. A (very) slight downside was that our room (the 90 sqm... More

Beautifully stylish minimalist rooms that have every home comfort made this hotel a pleasure to stay in. Good choice of catering and interesting district in Beijing to explore. Free wifi and food with interesting western asian flavours is available onsite.

This place was the height of comfort and the design is really so good. A friend who lives in Beijing had recommended it, steering us away from the chain hotels and we were so glad he did. The wood bathtubs and sinks are absolutely beautiful and our room just made me happy. The technology with the lights is highly sophisticated... More

what a fab hotel- modern, urban and so so hip. I spent a great time in the Opposite House and will definitely return when i am back to Beijing. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant great and the rooms spacious and beautifully furnished - wooden floors and even a bathtub out of maple wood,... More
