Location This is the best part of this hotel, its close to most of the major attractions in Beijing. We didnt have to use public transport at all and walked to all the attractions (Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Qianmen Street, Wangfujing). Price I paid an average of £72 per night, which I thought was quite expensive for China. But actually... More

What really is nice of this hotel, is the fact that is near to Tiananmen Square and the forbidden city. Serviced by 2 subway station that are both 10 minutes fare by walk. The room are ok, not dirty. Only the carpet is dirty and holey. The bathroom is small and the walls behind the tub are moody. There's no... More

The stay here was the result of changing from the Jinjiang Inn. Personally I think it was a great decision. This establishment is far more inviting. The hotel was clean for an early April 2012 arrival. Although rooms were still being cleaned at time of arrival we were allowed to go upstairs and see a room before actually registering. My... More

If you're from the West, you'd be disgusted with this hotels cleanliness or lack there of. Room was not vacuumed and the floors were visibility dirty. I was here two nights in two separate rooms and both of them were filthy. The entire place was so smoky (even for China). Location is good though, so if you never plan on... More

Stayed at this hotel for three nights. The staff at the reception were polite and helpful. One of them could speak English. I stayed in the deluxe room which was spacious and the toilet was clean and had all the toiletries as compliments. The cleanliness of the bed linen and towels deserves special mention. The a/c in my room was... More

It was a nice stay at the City Center! Rooms were clean and staffs were very cordial. I had a problem openning my luggage lock and they cleared it in their maintenance shop at the basement. Forbidden city is in the vicinity and the tour manager from the hotel was very caring indeed.

We liked this not very big, but nice, clean hotel with various tasty breakfast and near city center. Close with one small chinese restaurant. Quite easy to reach big street with shops and small street with baked scorpions, snakes and other brr on wood stick. Close with Tiananmen place and imperators town.

I'll start with the rooms- we actually stayed here on two different reservations. On our first night, we showed up and they didn't have our reservation. Luckily, I had the email confirmation and they were able to honor it, however, they didn't have any more standard rooms so we were upgraded to one of the executive rooms on the top... More

We booked this hotel by Expedia for 80 US, but if you buy it on reception desk the price is about 400US. Hotel is in very calm street with a lot of green around and close to Tiamen and metro line. Even that it looks nice from outside, rooms are old and had already better times. Staff was ok but... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights recently and although the hotel gets a bad rapt it is not that bad. Bedding must have been replaced as sheets and underblanket were new. A tip for anyone who goes to China - all the bed are very hard - its part of the culture, but they are good for your back,... More
