We were hosted at this hotel with a group of young fashion designers by Hempel, for China Fashion Week. It's not a hotel that would have been on our radar and from the reviews we weren't expecting too much. It's predominantly a Chinese Business Hotel and although a couple of the staff try to speak English, communication can be a... More

3 words to describe this old carpet, nasty bathroom, and falling apart furniture... old, nasty, old. Like many Chinese hotels they provide condoms next to the toothpaste... but with a little twist the condoms were expired 2 years ago... so you better watch out... because is coming to town...

We booked city view room with Orbitz, however we got room without windows. The manager asked us to pay 100USD/night for room with windows. Even though we already booked city view, they did not accept Orbitz reservation. I contacted Orb rep, but when he called the hotel, the manager did not speak english, which he really does not. Orb rep... More

The hotel is little bit old and locates in a dark area. Even some online booking rates this hotel at 4* but it should be 3* only. Access to city center from hotel is quite close and easy. Breakfast is normal.

Location This is the best part of this hotel, its close to most of the major attractions in Beijing. We didnt have to use public transport at all and walked to all the attractions (Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Qianmen Street, Wangfujing). Price I paid an average of £72 per night, which I thought was quite expensive for China. But actually... More

What really is nice of this hotel, is the fact that is near to Tiananmen Square and the forbidden city. Serviced by 2 subway station that are both 10 minutes fare by walk. The room are ok, not dirty. Only the carpet is dirty and holey. The bathroom is small and the walls behind the tub are moody. There's no... More

The stay here was the result of changing from the Jinjiang Inn. Personally I think it was a great decision. This establishment is far more inviting. The hotel was clean for an early April 2012 arrival. Although rooms were still being cleaned at time of arrival we were allowed to go upstairs and see a room before actually registering. My... More

If you're from the West, you'd be disgusted with this hotels cleanliness or lack there of. Room was not vacuumed and the floors were visibility dirty. I was here two nights in two separate rooms and both of them were filthy. The entire place was so smoky (even for China). Location is good though, so if you never plan on... More

Stayed at this hotel for three nights. The staff at the reception were polite and helpful. One of them could speak English. I stayed in the deluxe room which was spacious and the toilet was clean and had all the toiletries as compliments. The cleanliness of the bed linen and towels deserves special mention. The a/c in my room was... More

It was a nice stay at the City Center! Rooms were clean and staffs were very cordial. I had a problem openning my luggage lock and they cleared it in their maintenance shop at the basement. Forbidden city is in the vicinity and the tour manager from the hotel was very caring indeed.
