The lobby looks nice, but the only seating for people who aren't buying drinks from the bar is a row of wicker chairs. The room was OK, nothing to speak of, but there aren't non-smoking rooms, so ours smelled like smoke. Not good. Breakfast was poor. The cook didn't know how to cook an omelet (raw inside). Canned fruit? Is... More

First hotel on the Wendy Wu Tours Discover China with the Telegraph. The room was ok but a bit tired. I have no idea where the hotel is in relation to the rest of Beijing, but this is fine if you're on a tour and getting taken to the sites. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice of both Chinese... we stayed here on the last two nights of our tour. the rooms were good size, the bathroom was in need of some repair but overall was clean, the rooms were very hot without air conditioning and with the smog in the city we were unable to open the windows. At times staff on the reception did not speak english... More

A clean hotel with the usual amenities but it’s a bit out on a limb with regards to the town centre. Breakfast however was good with both Chinese and western style cuisine available, the breakfast area was also pleasant but overlooked a major road junction and some major building works. A large supermarket is nearby which is worth a visit.

Started Wendy Wu Tours Discover China with the Telegraph at this hotel. Accommodation good but no wifi in room unless additional payment. Wifi free in lobby but generally wifi in China does not function as in the West, very slow and clunky. Hotel out of the centre but OK if you are part of a tour and getting bussed everywhere.... This hotel made a good start to our Wendy Wu tour: comfortable beds, nice big room, good choice at breakfast and a comfortable bar area in reception with a good choice of drinks ( very important after a long day touring!) and wifi. It's position would be a problem if you were not part of a tour however, being a... More

We have encountered two problems with this hotel: 1- for an 'international' hotel we were surprised the staff did not understand one word of English; 2- (this is not a Hotel problem but it causes a problem to the travellers.) The Chinese government switches off cooling system around mid October. The room was very hot the management were unable to... More

We arrived here after a 14 hour flight so were pretty tired. The reception area and staff were very helpful in getting us settled. The room size was adequate and clean and they had a range of helpful facilities including shoe shining and Wi-Fi in the reception area (don't ask why its not in the room). The dining room was... This was the first hotel on Wonders of China Tour with Wendy Wu, and was a pleasant surprise. Free Wi-fi in the lobby, 2 free bottles of water daily, large clean room, good breakfast buffet breakfast to suit western tastes if wanted. Safe in the room. Only small downside is that it was not near anything and needed the tour bus... More

We stayed here for 4 nights so certainly got to know the hotel! The rooms are a good size, well appointed and with comfortable beds. Breakfast was OK; there was a decent variety of items (Western and Eastern) and whilst the quality wasn't always great, it was quite acceptable. The staff seemed helpful enough. We didn't try out the restaurants... More
