This is a wonderful hotel. The people are very helpful and it's in a nice location near the Forbidden City. You will find you can have a very good time walking 10 minutes in any direction to find all the interesting parts of Beijing.

My experience at the Emperor was really good, it's a good value for money, well located close to the forbidden city, in a small alley. We stayed here for 2 nights. The location was perfect for seeing what Beijing has to offer, and the price was perfect. The staff held our bags even after we checked out for 12 hours while we toured Beijing and then waited for our flight! Also, the restaurant had pretty good food and a great view.

The staff are nice, the location is good. The decoration and design are a bit odd though. I think my room had as much closet and storage space as actual floor space.
