Stayed here mid July for two days for a workshop. I arrived at 8pm, checked in very quickly, but the bellhop to show me my room could not be found for almost ten minutes, while idle reception staff could have done it in a minute! My room was lovely, overlooked the pool and ocean. Dinner was a disaster-all the food... More

To all Future guests, PLEASE BEWARE, at the end of out stay coming to pay our bill, this was prepared by one office, and had to be taken to the next office for payment, the cashier behind the screen could hardly be seen, my credit card was handed over, and he inserted it into a machine to make the transaction,... Stayed here whilst working in Mombasa for a week. My room over looked the ocean. It was really cool relaxing on my balcony watching the waves and enjoying the sea breeze. The rooms are spacious but hotel decor is rather dated. Breakfasts were ok. Its close to Malls where we would get nice dinners from Indian or Chinese restaurants. Coffee... More

I stayed here for a week and went on two safaris. The staff was helpful in arranging our trips. The restaurant in the hotel was better than average, but not great. The rooms were very clean, big and comfortable. They had what I think were Masai as security in the hotel. They were very friendly. I liked my brief stay... More

Location of the hotel is excellent. Its set on accessible cliff. With a great beach bar. They have is good. Service is above average. Rooms are old. They require re decoration. Bathrooms are old. They require a complete overhaul. Lounge is well designed. furniture is way too old.During my visit, only local TV channels were available.

I spent 2 nights at Mombasa Beach Hotel coming back from a safari on my way to the coast. The place has a 70's feel about it and needs redecorating and redoing badly. The beach is fantastic, the pool is OK but the rooms are far past their best, crooked wooden floors, old TVsets, very basic bathrooms, balcony doors difficult... More

Jaded hotel that has seen better days. Very loud music from pool side all day long and from the evening entertainment until long after 10pm. The manager seemed to be unable to do anything about it despite complaints from many a guest. Loud parties on the grounds contributed to the nuisance. It was a trying experience especially because we had... More

Great hotel, the only compliant was the wifi only worked half the time. The casino was great. The pool area was every nice. The beach needs to be looked after better. There is a cute salon in the hotel with great staff.

I spent 4 nights here in March 2012 as part of a group booking. The hotel staff couldn't do enough for us. We had fun around a good size pool, enjoyed body treatments and ate and slept well. The on-site taxi service was a good way to get around independently. We were very excited and impressed to see the Prime... More
