The place has been chosed due to its value for money and location (not far away from Mtwapa, i.e. both close to the beach and a town). You can get it easily from Mombasa (take matatu from Digo Road, the price is 40 Shl, it's better to negotiate the price before you seat, especially when you are first time in... More

Keep on returning to the Nightingale. It is a well managed establishment close to Shanzu beach. Spacious and clean rooms backed up by great service and a very secure compound. Humphry serves a great cold beer with a smile. Breakfast are cooked to your personal preferences and the pool is so enticing. Representing great value I will return again and... More

This is a great place to stay, I have been to Kenya 4 times in 2 years. This is by far the best place we have stayed the apartments are clean and reasonably furnished, full cooker even a microwave safe and fridge with small freezer. Air-con if needed but fans and mossi nets in every room. and all English plugs.... More

though spacious rooms and clean, very slow hotel service, food is repetitive, no local food taste. bathrooms toiletries needs improvement.....generally we did not like the place at all. far from the main road. advertisement should correspond to the reality on ground. the kitchenette should be supplied with coffee maker. mattress needs upgrading.

The apartments are new, clean and spacious and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Also loved the big, spacious rooms with basic but clean and good quality furniture and amenities. The pool was also really nice. Excellent value for money. The food service was a bit slow when the restaurant was busy, however. On the downside, the location can... More

This is a lovely place. While it is not perfect, for the price I don't think you can do better. The apartments are spare but clean. Most of what you need is there. The restaurant was quite tasty and the variety is excellent. There is a very wonderful pool and sitting area. The staff is superb and went out of... More

the apartments are not "sea facing" unless you take that very literally - i.e they are facing the general direction of the sea, but make no mistake - you won't get a view of the sea. The other thing is it is not 100m from the Serena Hotel and the beach, unless you walk down a narrow and difficult track... More

We stayed there only for 2 nights. Fortunately later we moved to a different place. The information on the website was misleading if not false. The apartments are not located 5min but at least 20min from the beach and there is no ocean view from any of the rooms. Our apartment was not fully furnished and what is more several... More

We stayed at this facility for 9 nights. It was very good, private and very well managed. In rate included a full (English) Breakfast. There is a very good pool, the apartments come furnished (albeit sparten but adjustable). The place is run by Catherine who manages a tight ship. There are two men of european origin (English??) who also co-own.... More
