Stayed here for three nights. Awesome well run place. The 17 tents run in a half moon around a piece of wetlands. The camp has its own group of warthogs and ten elephants that wander around and through the camp. Water Buffalo and a few hippos live in the wet lands. A highlight was on the last morning, three black... More

Topnotch service and accommodation. Very clean facilities and food was incredibly good. Having breakfast and lunch overlooking the marsh is so relaxing, my husband and I always said, Gosh I can't believe we are here experiencing this. There is just no word to describe our experience in Masai Mara. From watching a pride of lions, leaving our lunch table to... More

Our stay at Little Governors' Camp was incredible! From the lunch time visit by a family of elephants to the incredible 5 star quality buffet meals, this camp is amazing! As it is right in the middle of the Masai Mara, you are literally in the middle of the action. We saw giraffes, elephants, hippos, zebras, warthogs and a large... More

Excellent location. The hot air balloon was in the property itself. Excellent hospitality. The rents were world class. Everything that one can ask was available including the wild animals. The food was very good.

My wife and I spent our 25th wedding anniversary on a trip to Africa, and we stayed at Little Governors's Camp for three nights. We could not have had a better time. The "tent", our accommodation, was very comfortable, the meals were great, and the service was excellent. But the best part was the game. Wart hogs regularly made their... More

We arrived from the air field in time for lunch. Our tent was great, though a bit noisy at night as the hippos and elephants grazed around us. I was constantly amused by the mother warthog and her three piglets wandering in and out of the camp. The swamp provides great animal watching for all the meals. The staff was... More

Just loved this camp from the moment we arrived.Crossing the river to get to the camp makes it feel like an adventure already.Have been to africa several times before but this is a standout. The camp itself is well set out facing a swampy area that has constant wildlife and birdlife to watch. The tents are spacious and comfy and the bathrooms... Everything was perfect from the time we left the airstrip, seeing lions within minutes! The short boat trip across the river was a great way to start our stay at Little Govenor's. Travelled with our 10y.o daughter. She was made feel so welcome by all the staff, and a little spoiled! Many wonderful highlights, from small number of tents, no... More

From the moment we landed our senses were assaulted from every angle, before even reaching the camp we had seen, lions, giraffes, hyenas, hippos , & wilderbeast . The small boat across the river makes an interesting entrance to the camp and on arrival we found the marsh elephants were there to meet us. The two safaris a day (... More

WOW. I don't know where to begin. To Reach camp you cross the river by small boat. The tents are great. The shower, had plenty of hot water, much appreciated after dusty game drives. The tents over look the marsh, with hippo, buffalo, birds and warthogs. At night when laying in bed you can hear all the animals around you.... More
