I can't imagine my stay in the masa Mara to have been any better. Pauline is a gracious consummate host who always had a handle on everything going on. The accommodations and food we're both excellent. We took advantage of the prolonged game drives and although all the drivers are good, Reuben stood out amongst them all as his love... More

This was our second safari stop and while not as memorable as our first, is was certainly far above average. The accommodations were excellent (amazing what they can do with a tent!), the food was spectacular and memorable and the drives with Paul were fun and highly productive. We saw the big five (LOTS of cats) and even got a... More

My husband and I have been visiting Explorer since 2001. In fact we have lost count of our trips. We are very lucky that we live and work in Africa at the moment. Every Safari to the Masai Mara is different. That's why we keep coming back for more. This trip, I was privileged to see a Martial Eagle, the... More

We just spend the most amazing 4 nights at the Mara Explorers Camp. The service, food and hospitality was first class and unrivaled in our travel experiences. Pauline the Camp Manager is open, friendly and professional. The Askaris Daniel and Maleto are fearless and friendly. James from house keeping kept the tent spotless and surprised us with a hot water... More

This is a STUNNING camp in the Masai Mara only an electric fence keeps you and the wildlife apart. Lion and Hyena calls wake you at night, cheetah and leopard greet you in the morning. You are fed as well as they feed themselves. Everyone, just everyone is charming and out to make this your best safari holiday ever!

Yes, yes I know the first thing your going to say is "Honey it's a little pricey".. but it is so worth it!!! Pauline and crew do a wonderful job of making everyone feel welcome. This is a spectacular location on the Talek River with hippos and crocodiles viewable at most times from the lodge/dining area or from the deck... More

I could not have asked for a better first time experience to the Mara. Morning game drives are a must experience. The camp site is so beautiful and the perfect place to get away from the city life, enjoy nature and get some REAL fresh air. The meals were amazing. I would like to thank Pauline and entire team of... More

Splendid place with professional staff and care in a beautiful, peaceful, natural setting. A good place to unwind (with WIFI still available in the lounge area). Beautiful birds (yellow weaver birds make great watching during meals) and a wonderful place to see animals. The place has its own pared-down rhythm and offers significant privacy. Loved the 'tents' which you can... More

This being my first time in the Mara i must say it was an extraordinary experience. The four course meals were beautifully made, the game drives were simply breath taking, the tents exquisite and the staff were easily some of friendliest people i have ever encountered and most of them were from the local community making them extremely knowledgeable, I... Pauline, the camp manager and her staff, Paul, our driver did their utmost to easy our stay in this wonderful open camp in Mara. A very high level of service, a fabulous cooker, nice accommodation...and a high security standard makes you really comfortable when in the camp site or on game drive. They know their job and are fully and... More
