A wonderful stay. We experienced outstanding service during our 5 night stay. The driving safaris (in comfortable vehicles) were superb. Julian, our driver has a great knack of finding animals and went out of his way to look for which ever animal we wanted to see. The great thing about staying here is that it's situated in the Mara North... More

Overall, this place is great if you are looking for small (only 8 cabin tents) and peaceful. Not much to the grounds outside of your tent and the main building for meals, but its all well appointed and perfectly situated along the Mara river. Be warned, if you get nervous when things go bump in the night, this place gets... More

Thank you for your review. Please accept our apologies if your sleep was disturbed by hippo noise. Most guests who come to the Mara bush and sleep next to the Mara river and amidst our 200 resident hippos expect to escape their normal quiet sleep at home or in urban hotels and fully enjoy the experience of sleeping amidst the... We stayed here in October 2013 for 4 nights, everything was perfect: - staff at all levels spoke good English, very pleasant & helpful. The manager went out of his way to ensure everything was 500%. Excellent for families. We were very lucky in seeing the wilder beast migration thanks to our excellent guide James. We saw the majority of... More

We cannot praise this camp enough. From the time we arrived until the moment we left we were treated like royalty. 4 nights of pure indulgence with food, company and game drives. Special mention to James our game driver who found everything we asked for, even going out early so we could photograph the sunrise! Up close and personal with... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in September. It is a magical place with wildlife all around - as has been said on many occasions the staff are wonderful - our guide, Julius, made sure that we got to see as much as we possibly could including a leopard on the hunt and a river crossing of a couple of hundred... Stayed her for the first time in August 2012 and had to come back; so we arrived back more or less a year to the day of our first visit. We booked again via JT Safaris and we flew into the local airstrip from Amboseli in an old DC3 Dakota operated by Mombasa Air Safaris this was the perfect start... More

This facility, it's location, staff, amenities, and activities (game drives) were outstanding. The best time we had in Africa and absolutely the best safaris. The staff and management were so personable that we cried when we had to leave. This is what we always thought Africa to be. We lived with all of the animals and the wonderful Masai people... More

Having enjoyed our Safari in 2012 so much we decided to make a return visit to the Royal Mara in June 2013 and were certainly not disappointed with our decision. This is a very small Lodge with only 8 spacious and well equipped lodges, remembering where you are I truly believe the owners and staff do an outstanding job. The... More
