My son and I stayed here for 4 nights in early September. We were able to share the "family" tent which is like two normal ones hooked together since it wasn't being used. The wildlife was amazing as well as the staff, food and our guides. I would recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Kenya.

We stayed at Richard's camp at the beginning of October. It was the perfect size not too big and impersonal. The location was great, the camp was beautiful and the Taff and service excellent. Our guide was knowledgable and enthusiastic (Andrew Lenkume). The food was very good by any standards and we had delicious breakfasts and lunches out in the... More

Caron it was such a pleasure having you both to stay with us, Spotting that python eating the Thompsons Gazelle with Lenkume really was something special, and all your photos were spectacular! You certainly did see it all with us here in the Mara: even with the rain! We will be sure to pass on your compliments to Lenkume your... More

We had a wonderful time staying at Richard's River Camp. Alisa and Thor were incredible hosts. Johnson, our safari guide, tracked all the big game including bringing us to a dramatic river crossing where zebras tempted fate by swimming across crocodile infested waters! (Some didn't make it.) The food was top-notch. Not good as in, "pretty good given that we... More

I stayed at Richard's River Camp for 4 nights in October to do a photograhic safari of the Maasai Mara. The tents at the camp are very nice...not over the top and not two rustic. The outdoor showers were quite magical. The managers and the guides were great and we saw many lions, leopards, elephants, giraffe's and a huge number... More

We stayed at Richard's River Camp for 4 nights in September. It was not our first safari (South Africa and Namibia in the past), but certainly the most amazing one. Masai Mara during the annual migration is a unique experience. We were two couples together. During our stay, we had a guide assigned to us (Eloise). Looking for interesting animals... More

We stayed 2 nights in Richards camp and loved it! We arrived in Mara North airfield and were taken to the camp in a specialised safari jeep. On the way we drove around and saw loads of animals. Arriving into the camp was like an oasis. The tents are so tastefully furnished, and so cosy. Hot water bottles are put... More

If you want to see African animals. This is the place! You feel in contact with the thousands of wild animals both migrating in August-October and the local fauna. Richard's River Camp was our first stop after spending 1 week with Free the Children on an incredibly emotional and fulfilling journey. After saying our goodbyes to family and friends alike, we were greeted by Antony from Richard's at Mara North Airstrip.
