I love Safari, I have done for 20 years, and I have now found my new home. I have the great privilege to live in Kenya and as such have visited many camps in different areas; this is the place to go if you want a camp that has it all. First, location: Situated in the Siana conservancy it is... More

Leleshwa is a unique place! It's located on the Siana Conservancy, just outside the Mara itself. I think this is actually a real advantage and makes for a more authentic experience. For a start, not being in the National Park means you have a greater range of opportunities than you might otherwise have. So for example we were able to... More

We just returned from a 2-week trip to Africa and Leleshwa was by far the highlight of the trip. The staff went out of their way to make sure our group was comfortable and well-cared for. The tents are lovely and the food excellent. The drivers and spotters were amazing and incredibly knowledgeable about the Mara, the Masai community and... More

We recently spent two nights and three days at the Lesleshwa Camp---an incredible experience but not nearly enough time for our first safari. We make all of our traveling plans independently--no travel agent or tour operator. My wife began exploring this trip with Mike North, the extraordinary managing partner of Lesleshwa, over a year before we arrived. From the moment... More

We are Kenyan, and have stayed in many lodges and camps in .Africa, but Leleshwa is by far our best! The special touches - warm towels, plentiful hot water, sun downers, special picnic lunches and breakfast overlooking the hippos, an early morning walk among the animals, a night drive (list not in any order of preference)......... what more could any... ... after landing in the air-strip our guide took us immediately to a game drive and sundowners (although the sunset was invisible by heavy dark clouds looming in the horizon) in a field where birds sang in the dusk; warm wet towels were waiting for us on arrival to the campsite; the tent was the equivalent of a 5-star hotel... Our favorite camp of our trip to Kenya! We spent our anniversary here and they really went all out to make it special!! Great people! I felt like I was with old friends! You meet the most interesting people in Kenya and Leleshwa was no exception! Our tent was beautiful with plenty of hot water, food was excellent and plentiful... More

We have just returned from 4 nights at Leleshwa camp - as part of our honeymoon (the highlight of the trip!). It was the most perfect experience...wouldn't change a thing. The service was impecable...nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. The food and drink was a definate highlight - we still don't know how they managed it!... More

We stayed at Leleshwa for eight days and couldn't have imagined a better experience! The camp is small and intimate, and the location and setting are beautiful. Leleshwa is totally focused on providing a highly personalized experience and it strikes the perfect balances between being elegant yet casual, and active yet relaxing. The tents and facilities are clean and comfortable,... More

I visited Leleshwa for two nights last month with my two children aged 12 and 8. Aardvark Safaris in the UK helped me choose the camp and the choice was inspired. If you are considering visiting the Mara with your kids then you should not hesitate to book this camp if it is available. I wish we could have stayed... More
