Beautiful camp site very close to the game. As animals don't respect park boundaries we had the richness and variety of the Masaai Mara without the large numbers of vehicles. Tents excellent with lighting, hot water bottles and lots of storage space. Food was very good and served by deightful staff. Our guide Jimmy was excellent and made sure we... more

First visited with my wife June '08 but had to return; this time as a treat for my mother. One night, every person around the dinenr table (apart from my mum) were repeat visitors which tells its own story. Special because only 6 tents with all the necessary luxuries but still with the feeling of camping. Climate is perfect -... more

This is a very intimate camp in the Olare Orok Conservancy. The tents are very well equipped with en-suite facilities & the bed very comfortable, with some nice little home touches. Safety is of paramount importance & you are escorted at night to the dining tent & back. A torch & a walkie talkie in your tent is also supplied... more

Having stayed at a few camps in the Mara area, I can easily say that Kicheche Bush Camp is my favourite. Very relaxed, comfortable and located right next to the Mara Reserve, meaning game drives literally start from the camp. Some camps are in dense wooded areas, with restricted views, but Bush Camp is there, in the open, with great... more

Previous reviews cover the quality of the camp, location, tents, facilities, food and staff and we confirm they are all excellent. The position and guides are exceptional. We saw 3 migration crossings including a crocodile kill, all the big cats several times, including cubs and had lots of bonus treats. It was a lot more than just spotting the odd... more

Fanatastic location for a safari. Easy 45 minute flight from Wilson Airport in Nairobi. Superb tented accomodation - tent with 2 comfortable single bed, linen and duvet plus hot water bottle at night. Separate covered patio area attached to main tent. Walk in wardrobe with washing facilities. Separate hot shower and separate flushing toilet . Each tent is about 40... more

This was my fourth visit to Kicheche, three times with Paul Goldstein leading the trip, once on my own. I have been to Kicheche main camp, migration camp, and most recently Bush Camp. Bush camp is the most luxurious of the three, but having said that they are all far removed from camping in any conventional sense. The facilities are... more

My wife and I fell in love with Africa in 2006 when we did our first safari saying at multiple camps through Tanzania. Since then we have also been to Zambia and a 'high end' safari in Botswana. In short nothing compares to Kicheche and this is true of Kicheche Lakipia also. You are in charge of the amount of... more

We stayed 3 nights last week and only fault to be found was ours for not staying longer. The camp and the tents are so perfectly situated that even a type A as myself wished for a day of just sitting in camp. Every positive word previously written about our hosts, Anna and Greg, the staff, including our guide Nelson,... more

This is the fourth Safari camp we've been to in Kenya and certainly the best. Plus points for us were (a) small and intimate, (b) away from the main Mara game reserve so much less crowded but still plenty of wildlife (c) really friendly and helpful staff who are happy to accomodate your individual wishes, (d) amazing accomodation, and (e)... more
