Our trip to Cottar's was easily the best vacation I have ever had. From the minute we touched down in Nairobi International through our departure, Calvin Cottar or a representative from the camp was there to help us and guide us. Calvin even accompanied us on to the Serengeti for the final portion of the trip. The dining is fantastic;... More

Cottar's camp was our second and last stop on our week long safari in Kenya. It is a beautiful camp that reminds me of what it must have been like to be on Kenyan safari in the days of "Out of Africa." We were picked up by James, one of the camp managers, who was very friendly and his Masai... More

It is my first time to Kenya and my first safari experience and my stay at Cottar's was truly amazing and enjoyable. I was there for 3 nights and everything, from the service of all the staff, the food, the view and the thrilling game drives was nothing but excellent. Our safari guide Ken made sure me and my friends... More

When my wife and I were on our Honeymoon, one of our stops was at Cottars. Now, we were there in November of 2011, so there may be changes to the facility since then. However, what I will always remember is the views, the safari and the Cottar family. When we got off the plane, we had to wait for... More

My sister and I spent 5 amazing days in the Cottar's 1920's camp in January 2014. The camp itself was outstanding from the main tent area to our own accommodations. From the moment we arrived, the staff were on hand to make sure we had everything we needed and more. We were met by Douglas, a guide who also has... More

Just when we thought our trip, and first safari could not be improved upon, we arrived at Cottar's on a chilly afternoon, awestruck at the landscape, and warmly welcomed by a smiling staff and the very capable and engaging managers, Charlotte and James. We were introduced to the workings of the camp and from there our every need and desire... More

Cottar's was our last stop after having travelled to Amboseli, Meru, Shaba and the North Mara Conservancy and I expected it to be the absolute highlight, the cherry on the top. Cottar's is without any doubt a very special camp. It is an authentic tented safari camp from a bygone era, magnificently decorated, with lovely staff and excellent cuisine. It... More

A friend and I recently spent a dazzling four days at Cottar's, and it was the best experience that I have had in many years of world-wide travel.
