This genuinely is by far the most amazing place to visit. The staff are exceptional. The setting is perfect and you cannot imagine how much you actually get to see. The whole experience is impossible to summarise with words. You MUST visit this camp. If you are looking to experience a Kenyan Safari, then there really is no other way... More

Quite simply, if you want to go on a safari to Kenya, go on a Porini Safari. We didn't see aother vehicle or another human being during our four days at Mara Porini. The staff are outstanding, the service superb. I was totally confident in the knowledge and experience of the wonderful Massai people. We saw and experience sights I... More

what a wonderful place! we enjoyed our stay very much, and we will never forget the great hospitality there!! we had excellent game-drives and game-walks with very well educated guides and spotters, and we enjoyed the homey tented camp and high quality of food and drinks there. So both nature and management/staff made our stay very special! Thank you, asché,... More

There are already so many good reviews about this camp so I won't reiterate what others have mentioned (which are all true). The thing that stood out the most for me was the fact that no other tour vehicles are allowed on the conservancy other than guests of Mara Porini. I was able to enjoy a nice evening with a... More

We had two nights at Mara Porini Camp. Everything was just lovely - the luxury tent accommodation, great food in the main communal tent area, the fabulous staff, mostly local Masai, who gave friendly and helpful service. We had a driver and guide for our game drives who were so knowledgable and as well as the animals gave us sundowner... More

We moved on to Porini Mara from Porini Lion. Like Porini Lion, Mara gets the balance exactly right between comfort and closeness to nature - a wonderful tented camp, with great accommodation, food and service. It’s a unique model combining eco tourism with support for the Maasai, the environment and the wildlife. It’s wonderful going out with the very knowledgeable... More

If your preferences are posh hotels and being surrounded with crowds of visitors do not choose Porini! Should you however seek a close-encounter with nature as it is being in the meantime pampered as a long-ago-seen friend you'd better stay with Gamewatchers. They set-up their camps in conservancies where there are no fleets of tourist laden minivans just a few... More

We had just a brilliant honeymoon at Mara Porini Camp after a wonderful wedding at Zanzibar! We received the trip as a present, so we had no idea know what to expect and that made it even more exciting. It was quite luxurius to have sparkling wine at our terrace when we arrived and hear voices the wilderness just in... More

In january this year our extended family of 14 (3 sisters with husbands and teenage children 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 & 16 yrs, 1 grandfather and partner) decided to travel from Australia to Kenya for the Xmas holidays. We ranged in ages from 11 to 80 years. We decided that all technology was to be left at home (except... More

My daughter and I just got back from a mezmerizing safari at the Mara Porini Camp. We booked the safari through Gamewatchers and I must say that they thought of everything from sun down to sun up. No detail was left unattended to. I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone considering taking a Kenyan safari. Each step of... More
