Words are not enough to describe the place, the people and service standards - the staff is always eager to help and make your stay memorable. The whole camp design is unique and in sync with nature with the river setting. We will always cherish the wonderful memories of our stay here

Stayed there during the first week of December 2013 and we had a blast. The whole staff ranging from front desk, porters, waiters, guards, bartenders were awesome. Special mention to Mustafa our waiter, This guy is the epitom of great service and i would recommend anyone to request sitting at the table he serves. I will be back again... PS:... More

I think given the fact you are in the middle of nowhere, to have such amenities in 'tents' is just a credit to the Kenyan people and their ability to play hosts to tourists. the setting of the 'camp' is next to the Talek river and it's simply beautiful. our tent was based facing the river where the monkeys climbed... We stayed here 30-Sep-02-Oct-2013 to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. From the moment we arrived, the staff was at the ready for my husband's "surprise" for his birthday. The hotel manager [forget his name, so sorry] worked diligently to ensure that everything was perfect and the secret was safe. The location of Fig Tree was perfect for game drives. We... More

You cannot believe here is a beatuiful lodge located in wilderness. Locate in the heart of Masai Mara, it's close to go east or west Masai Mara. Cross a small river with crocodile, you can stay in wide with standard room as in city. Food is also good.

We stayed at Fig tree camp for 3 nights 4 days in July. We directly made the bookings through the Hotel staff. The booking process was a little unpleasant since we had to do a lot of follow ups to get the confirmations done instead of it being otherwise. But after staying at the property for 3 days, we highly... More

We spent 2 nights there while visiting Maasai Mara in March. The tent was really great, better than many hotel rooms I have been in. The tents are very spacious and each have big and clean bathroom with running water. The beds were big and comfortable. We had a nice view on the Talek river. The grounds are really beautiful.... You reach there exhausted after a long 6/7 hours drive from Nairobi as the last 2,5 h is only a dodgy bumpy track . The lodge looks nice and very tribal style ... Overlooking a small swamp river with some crocodiles . It is semi tented / with rigid bathroom attached to each tent . Food is just very average... More

Loved the place! Having the tent just next to the river, with buffalos coming to feed at night on the other bank, hyenas laughing in the distance etc. was just lovely. You could call it a tent, but really you sleep in a good bed and have a good bathroom etc., so comfort level is nothing like camping. It felt... More
