We had an utterly amazing time at Fig Tree Camp. The staff are wonderful and attentive, food fantastic (although the selection is not huge, it was some of the best we had whilst in Kenya) and rooms that take 'glamping' to a whole new level! The wildlife you see from / in the camp is astounding: the monkeys that break... More

Well tucked in the most silent spot in the Masai Mara a night in the hotel is a quiet as a dream ! the stillness in the rooms is exactly the reason people go for a holiday, the only noise you hear is the sounds of nature, located in kind of a hole, you cant see it from a distance... More

We stayed here from the 3rd October for 3 nights. This was our 2nd visit to this camp. The last time we visited was 3 years ago. We stayed in one of the tents right on the river. The tent is very comfortable and has all you need (but no safe). The staff are excellent. They wake you in the... More

our tent was on the banks of the river . being dry season the water was quite low but still a great spot. the tent was comfortable, roomy and we quite enjoyed the experience. The tents are separated by nice garden areas, good to see an Eland wandering about, and bush babies feeding at the entrance area. All the staff... More

Our expectations were met and some! We were very pleased with the Fig Tree! The customer service was UNBELIEVABLE! I am a confessed "diet coke" addict! Upon arrival, I inquired if they had Diet Coke (Coca Cola Light) and they said that they did not. I was disappointed, because I was planning on a 3 day trip there... To my... More

The Fig Tree camp is located on the banks of the Talek river and the tents overlook the river. The accommodation is comfortable and we were welcomed at the reception by an Eland. The camp is quite large and spread out and there were some hippos in the river at night and a large crocodile lay on the banks one... More

This place is in the middle of nowhere, yet is beautiful and has all the amenities for upscale tent camping. There is not a better location for going on safari. The staff, especially William, Letuya and Boniface, were extremely cordial and helpful. The food was plentiful with a variety to choose from.

Gorgeous place. All staff are so friendly and will go out of their way to do anything for the guests. Decent food with great service. Love the outdoor areas to lounge including a great little tree fort type area. Wonderful turn down service to get you ready for a night out in the wild. Wonderful place.

We spent two nights at this camp as part of our safari. We stayed in a "tent", i.e. you are under canvas and there is no lock, but the bathroom and the little terrace in front are concrete. We loved seeing the monkeys play in the trees above our heads. One day when we came home there was a big... More
