We visited a couple of years ago via Collette Holidays. The Hotel was a superb surprise right by the river. "Tented" room was great and the main area was lovely and served great food. We went on the evening barbecue and really enjoyed the Masi dancers. Next morning we went on the superb Adventures Aloft balloon trip. Wonderful stay.

We stayed at Fig Tree camp in Masai Mara and I would give full marks for location and hospitality. The camp is located on Talek river in the Masai Mara game reserve. The tents are reached through a dense pathway, thus giving complete privacy from one another and also the feel of sleeping alone in the bush. Our tent was... More

The hotel is situated off the river. It is a luxury tent with view of the river. The food is delicious with a variety of choices. The balloon ride was amazing, the captain had a great sense of humor and personality making it an enjoyable ride. The beds were clean, some of our family had soft beds and others were... More

Fig tree is a tent camp of luxury tents along the river. The service is outstanding. Some may not like the feeling of insecurity of a tent and having to zip the door closed getting in and out, but the location is worth the little extra effort. We stayed two nights and enjoyed hearing the hippo below in the river... More

Our safari company booked us here as a last minute change and we couldn't be more pleased. The service was incredible - attending to every need with diligence. The food was laid out beautifully, fresh and seasoned well. Yes, generators were not constantly running but it was good to dial back our dependence. The camp was large enough for a... More

My husband and I got to spend one night here after a week long mission trip. I was extremely ill when we arrived, likely from a parasite I picked up. But thankfully, the Lord helped me get better overnight so I could enjoy our safari the next day. The lodge was like something out of a movie or an adventurer's... More

I found this place quite disgusting. The bed cover was torn, the cushions on the bed dirty, there were stains on the bed sheets. The food was not very palatable & there were flies on the food. There was not any power for parts of the day .The most annoying time with no power was 4pm - 6pm so no hot water. When the power came... We spent three nights there at the end of May 2015. Food terrible, with not enough provided for guests, of which there were not very many. Flies in the salad dressings, and stuck to the dessert cakes and who knows where else they were. Cockroaches walking across the dining room floor. The pool too dirty to swim in and the... More

My last visit to this wonderful camp was the week of 6th March 2015.I was there with my fam. Members for three days. Fig tree is a awesome camp tucked in between the tributaries of river Talek. Kudos to ALL STAFF- they are wonderful in all their respective fields. Mike the tour guide, the hot air balloon-canadian pilot and Mr.... More

a very nice hotel, the ambiente was great, walking to your own little house-tent: fantastic!!! We loved it a lot!!!! But unfortunately like most of the hotels in Kenya, also this one had only few guests....The problem is due to corruption of the governement who pockets in everything they can.
