You want to feel one with nature and its inhabitants, to drive with experienced drivers through a wonderful landscape, to be part of the great migration during august or september and to do this all from a small private lodge with a wonderful view. To have a bush beeakfast or a bush dinner, to have the Masai dance for you,... More

This little 6 cottages hotel is the best there is when you go on safari to Kenya. It's 1st class accommodation and services, the guides are Masai and knowledgable, they will take you to find what you want to see. I went out early and they even had breakfast ready in the car where we stopped in the middle of... More

The game drive started right from the airport.... saw volumes of animals.... loved every moment. Thanks to all the staff for such a memorable trip. Our guide William was fantastic. Not only did we appreciate learning about the wildlife, we learned about the Maasai people and culture. Don't miss out to see the resident Elands..... Most of all, we loved... More

Thank you for your wonderful review and I'm glad you liked the Italian influence in the kitchen. And thank you for noticing that we do indeed pay individual attention to our guests and we design the experience around their needs and wishes. Hope to see you again in the future! More

We travelled to Saruni Mara for 3 nights towards the end of March for the first part of a twin base honeymoon. As it was our honeymoon we spent more than we would usually spend on a normal holiday and we were far from disappointed with absolutely everything we received from Saruni Mara. Being met straight off of our Safari... More

Thank you very much for your detailed, wonderful feedback. I'm particularly happy to hear that you like our service: we aim at being very very detail-oriented. And of course I like the fact that you appreciated the special knowledge and understanding of nature of our professional masai guides, all people who were born in the Masai mara and were raised... Just returned from Saruni, had travelled over Easter with the family. Although some of the staff especially in the restaurant try, the place is basic. Would not recommend travelling in rains as their cars were leaking inside. If you have a big family you have to look for people to replace firewood in the water boilers so that the last... More

Thank you for letting us know that you were not entirely happy about your experience with us, but I'm afraid I do not agree with the points raised in your review. I'm sorry that the heavy rains of those days made the experience less enjoyable that it should have been, but not only our vehicles are among the best in... More

We have now visited the Saruni camps 4 or 5 times. There is nothing I can say that has not already been said The Saruni Wid Camp in the Mara is outstanding...food great, staff and service absolutely superb. The lodge itself is spectacular, beautiful and the views are too die for. Wonderful, wonderful camps both in The Mara and Samburu. I... More

I have just come back from a holiday in Kenya, during which my family and I spent three nights at Saruni. Great things have been written on this lodge and I totally agree with all the positive comments. I was personally impressed by the staff and their attitude: we felt really welcome and cared for by everybody. We loved being... More

Many thanks for this review and particularly for praising the service given by our attentive staff. I recently returned from a family trip to Kenya. The first three days of which we went on Safari in the Masai Mara. We stayed at Saruni who made our experience exceptional. The Saruni lodge indulged me in the impression of the Mara that I didn't know I wanted to find. The location of the buildings on the hill side allows you to overlook another wooded hill side as well as the Mara. We saw elephants there when we were enjoying our afternoon coffee. The interior design is imaginative yet tasteful and overwhelms... More
