African Safari Club promises when you visit Mara Buffalo camp as part of their safari tours that you'll be seeing animals in the "world famous Mara reserve". Well, don';t be fooled! The world famous Mara National Reserve is 30 km south of Buffalo camp! Instead you'll be driven around the Lemek Koyaki Ranch which is outside the Mara Reserve and... More

Our stay at the Mara Buffalo Camp was amazing. The individual lodges are comfortable, staff are friendly and the food was really nice! Admittedly the showers in the camp are not ideal but I went on safari to see animals and that was my main priority. The camp itself is on the river ....... home to a large family of... More

Terrible organisation. Safaris a joke. Food terrible. Masai Mara was supposed to be the highlight of our holiday but this camp was the low- light!

We flew to Mara Simba Buffalo Camp on 24th January 2007 from Bamburi Airstip, near Mombasa in a 2-engined, 18-seater plane for two hours. During the flight we had wonderful views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the large soda lake Lake Magardi, the Great Rift Valley and the Masai Mara before landing on the local airstrip. As the Mara had had an... More

We stayed in Mombasa and flew to the Masai Mara for a two night safari. The trip up was fine and we were greated by the manager who told us of our schedule for that day. The room was clean and the bathroom equipment although very, very old, working. The staff were very friendly and the food (excluding the packed... More
