This magnificent "tent camp" on the edge of the Maasai Mara National Reserve has it all! Clean and well kept lodgings on beautiful a beautiful and cool shaded oasis also provided us with some of the best food during our two week long photo safari! Heavily influenced by Kenya's sizable East Indian population, the curry dishes rivaled those of of... More

This is one of three tent camps we stayed at, and was the worst of the three. Lodgings were primitive and lighting (to get from far-flung tents to the dining area) was not sufficient (the provided flashlights did not illuminate enough to see the rough trails). Many of our tents lost hot water when boilers "blew up," and the staff... More

The Siana Springs Tent Camp is located within 30 minutes on rough roads to the Maasai Mara NP. It is built around a natural spring so it is very lush and beautiful. The tent rooms are spacious and set apart from each other. The restaurant and bar are in separate buildings open to a stone patio where Maasia warriors perform... More

This is certainly a good place to stay in many ways, but it is not one to categorically endorse. We liked out tent. The layout was actually more practical than the other tent we stayed at on the trip, although the feel was not quite so luxurious. We also liked the extensive grounds where there was ample opportunity to spot... More

Beautiful setting with tented camps that are small but comfortable. Food here was very good. The tents are very close together so you can hear everything going in the tent next to you, but overall the tents were really a unique experience. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Wildlife is everywhere! A great place to stay in the Masai Mara.

The grounds were very attractive and we enjoyed the wildlife there (impala, tree hyrax, monkeys, mongoose). Our tent was comfortable, but very cramped for 3 people. The only 2 electrical outlets were located behind the bed and far from any mirror, so pretty useless for hair dryers and curling irons. As at all our camps in Africa, it was difficult... More

Just stayed here recently and liked the camp mainly because it gives a very close to nature feel - not like a typical hotel type lodge. So if you are in Masai Mara , this is the type of accommodation you want to enjoy [ not a 5 star hotel type stay ! ]. There are many nice camps in... More

Lovely place to stay while experiencing the wilderness and animal life, good food and a friendly atmosphere. Our favourite part was the Masai guide a good insight into local life. Would recommend to families and school groups as they have good activities for young people. Only drawback was the wasp colony by the pool.

We spent two nights at the camp, the idea was to stay at a reasonably priced camp and do half-day trips to the Mara. This would have worked out ok if the road to the camp wasn't as bad as it was. The 10km to the park gate took 40min, give or take. The staff at the camp were absolutely... More

As part of a week-plus-long game safari, my wife and I spent two days and nights at the Siana Springs Intrepids camp in late August. Located about 10 miles from one of the main gates to the famous Masai Mara Nature Reserve, the Intrepids offers visitors nearly all the "comforts of home" and more. The individual tents were comfortable, the... More
