The drive there is really depressing. I would advise anybody to fly as there is an airstrip near the camp. The welcome drink and cold towel are really refreshing although the juice can be colder #ice. The grounds are really nice and well manicured, a little haven in the middle of nowhere. The food was by far the worst part... More

As most of the reviewers said, the access road of 30 minutes drive frustrates you. The road is not as bad as mentioned in few reviews but you dont want to spend 1 hour (both sides) to enter the park. FYI, the main road to Masai Mara is also unpaved and the extra distance of 25 minutes to lodge really... More

I and my fiancee visited Masai Mara and we stayed at the Siana Springs tented village hotel. The words we both had were in a nutshell totally amazing service. After a tiring day on safari, it was so nice to come back to an open bar where the barman Mr NAMAI had a permanent smile on his face and nothing... More

My wife and I stayed here in October on our honeymoon and couldn't fault a single thing. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful, ensuring that we had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Our room/tent was perfect, providing all you'd expect from a tented camp and more, with excellent bathroom facilities and power points to charge your cameras & phones. The... More

My husband and I just returned from a trip to Kenya and Tanzania with Gate 1 Travel. While at the Masai Mara, we stayed at the Siana Springs Lodge. IT WAS TERRIFIC!! This is what I was hoping for in Africa. The camp has a natural feel while the tents are surprisingly comfortable and offer all necessary ameneities. The sweet... More

As our vehicle left the tarred road to travel about eight odd kms to the resort , it was quite a bumpy ride which turned into oohs and aahs as we walked through a tunneled entrance covered with foliage and resounding with bird calls! A quick welcome drink and we were escorted to our tents ...my first experience of a... More

Cute camp ground with private tents that are set up. Each tent has a shower and bathroom. The light is limited to the designated times of the camp. We spent a total of 2 nights there. There are no locks you basically need to tie up the tent so that the monkeys don't have access to your tent. There was... More

James and all his staff should be commended on their extraordinary customer services skills. Every member of his staff went out of their way to insure that we had a relaxing and enjoyable visit with them. The location of the camp(though outside the park) should have no bearing on it's staff pr the services they offer their guests. This was... More

We have just returned from three weeks of Kenya and Tanzania where we stayed in many lodges and safari camps. I am sorry to say that this was by far the least impressive. Gate 1 should come up with another camp, and preferably inside the Masai Mara game park. This location is not convenient to the game park, and requires... More

We stayed in seven different hotels/lodges/tented camps in our recent trip to Tanzania and Kenya, but the location of this camp was the least convenient. I guess it goes with the price... The tented camp “bedroom” is fantastic and spacious. The food was also great but the “trip” from the hotel entrance to the games was about 45 minutes total... More
