We stayed at the Governor's camp for 2 nights/3 days but wish we had booked longer. When I told people I would be staying in a tent they were surprised until they saw the pictures. The bed is a good size possibly, king size, and later in the evening two hot water bottles are put in it and this was... more

My husband and I spent 4 wonderful days and nights at Little Governer's Camp. Although my husband had always wanted to go on Safari, it was not something that had interested me, however the balloon flight picture in the brochure sold the idea and off we went in February. It was truly amazing. It exceeded all expectations. The daily game... more

We flew from Nairobi to Governor's Camp and stayed for 3 days/2 nights in late March and loved every minute of it. We liked the comfortable tents and the open unfenced camp which gave it more of a wilderness feeling. The food and the service were excellent. The game drives were outstanding and we saw much more wildlife than we... more

Every game drive was unique and varied. The guides were fantastic and did their utmost to help us find what we wanted to see. Big cats on every outing, but they also knew all the birds and reptiles. To be woken before dawn with a cup of hot chocolate brought to the bed, after a night of listening to lions... more

We had booked a cheap ‘all inclusive’ week away at the Baobab Hotel in Diani Beach, our plan was to simply chill out by the pool and enjoy the sunshine; however after listening to all the safari stories in the bar each evening from the returning masses, we decided to give it a go. There was a vast choice of... more

We had the great fortune to spend 2 nights/3 days at The Governors camp during our honeymoon. We booked the stay with Kuoni (Private Safaris) at our hotel (The Voyager). We paid about £1500 for the both of us which is a lot of money but worth ABSOLUTELY every penny. Many people book the cheaper safaris to Tsavo which are... more

Govenor's Camp is not fenced, so you have a feeling of being closer to the animals, combine this with the fact that there is no electricity in the tents and you get a romantic impression that this was what safari was like in 'the good old days'. The tents are very luxurious and the lack of electricity is not a... more

Every detail at Governors Camp, from the collection at the air-strip, to the quality of food, the service and safari experience, is unbeatable. Our tent was large and the absence of electric sockets was not a problem, as phones, cameras etc can be charged in an area close to reception. There is even an area for using hairdryers, not that... more

I went to Kenya last year to experience Safaris. My group boarded a charter plane to reach Masai Mara. Once you land, Governor's Camp jeeps are waiting for you and you can start your safari drive experience right from there. The camp site is situated in the middle of Masai Mara. I got the room in front of plains and... more
