We stayed at three Governor's properties, Main Governors being the first for 3 nights. Enjoyed every minute from the flight from Nairobi onwards. Cannot fault anything, it was all beyond expectation. Great drives with Sopia our excellent, knowledgable guide who really went the extra mile for us when we left something behind. Thanks Sopia! Tents were amazing and it was... More

From the moment we arrived we knew that we were in for the holiday of a lifetime. From getting off the plane and being instantly surrounded by the wild animals of the Masai to arriving into the camp to be greeted by possibly the happiest man in the world David at the camp gates. We were promptly taken to our... More

My father and I had the best time at Governers camp. Saw 4 of the big 5 multiple time, unfortunately the rhino successfully hid from us for 5 days! Robert, our guide was so patient and knew the answers to all of our questions and knew exactly where to find the animals we most wanted to see. The camp itself... More

Recently spent 3 nights at Governor's Main Camp (Sept. 11-14). We spent more time on game drives here--which is what you want--than any other place. They generally plan 3/day, but you can combine the first 2 into one longer drive which incorporates a picnic breakfast by a river with hippos, a wonderful overlook, etc. Go early; that's when the animals... We chose a safari as a way of celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and Governor's Camp came up to all our expectations, including a bottle of champagne and personal card. The staff were both efficient and friendly, our driver seemed to know exactly where to go to see the animals and even managed to crown the end of the day... More

We really enjoyed our trip to the Masaii Mara and our several day stay at theGovernor's camp. Accomodations were excellent, as well as the food. Everybody on staff was extremely helpful. The slightest need was attended to immediately. The hot air balloon ride was great. The fears of Ebola are overly exaggerated as this place is several thousand miles from... More

My husband and I got married at the Governors Camp in 2009. It was our very first safari we couldn't of picked a better location, the staff couldn't of been more helpful both during our stay and the day of the wedding. All in all the most wonderful place to be in. We hope to go back very soon.

In all honesty words can't convey what a wonderful experience we had staying here but I'll try. Accommodation which is the perfect blend of luxury and camping, great staff and plenty of them, superb drivers, very good food and range of drinks. Of course if you are on safari you also want to see animals. Well, among our highlights were,... More

Just left Governors after a 4 night stay....although we didn't really want to leave! The camp is full of character in the middle of the Mara with animals coming through the camp every evening. That aside the camp does have a magical feeling about it. We smiled from the moment we arrived all the way through. The service is faultless... More
