This was one destination we were looking forward to as a climax to a 10 day Kenyan wild life holiday but came back with some unpleasant experience. The resort manager, Mr. Timothy was An outstanding individual and so were the rest of the staff at the camp but would like to place on record the particularly bad behaviour of the... More

great service all the way. professional staff, clean rooms, excellent food. a variety of wildlife, nice climate... I would recommend governor's camp to anyone, young or old. It is expensive but the experience is worth every single penny.

My wife and I spent three nights at this renown lodge. Without doubt our most memorable experience we have ever spent with "Nature". Everything you could wish for on an African safari and more. A very comfortable tent, excellent food, superb staff and above all wonderful wildlife. We have been on many safaris but this was our first trip to... More

I took my boyfriend to Governor's as a 30th Birthday Present at the beginning of November this year. We would recommend Governor's camp to anyone looking to go on Safari. The staff were all lovely and so helpful - they couldn't do enough for us! Our driver (Duncan) was amazing, a lovely guy, who really knew his stuff. He answered... More

I love East Africa. This was our second visit to in August earlier this year. It was short gateway for us way from office, and only meant for wildlife photography. We chose Governor's camp this time and it was the perfect choice. What a brilliant stay it was!! We were picked up from the gate by the Governor's vehicle and... More

This was our first safari so cannot make any comparisons, but I don't see how this format can be improved upon. Accommodation - Tents, amazing, comfortable, clean, and perfect for hearing every little noise at night, it simply adds to the experience and keeps you in the zone. Food - The food is excellent, breakfast, game drive picnic, lunch, dinner,... More

I had the time of my life. It was an experience i will never forget. Waking up to the hippo eating outside the tent. Can't wait to go back one day. Every thing was 1 St class the service, food accommodation. My driver Robert was lovely and the hot air balloon is a must. Also fantastic trip to the masai... More

I would have no hesitation whatsoever recommending this camp to anyone. The whole experience is run to the tiniest detail and works like clockwork. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and their knowledge is second to none. The fact that the camp is not gated and animals can roam amongst you is genuinely awe inspiring and at all... More

This was our second visit, the last being September 2009, and followed on from a six night stay at the Mara Intrepids, staying three nights. Very little has changed, there are a few internal screens erected and limited electricity is available in each tent sufficient only for charging low power batteries or tablets/laptops. There is wifi available, but I would... More
