We were in Rekero for almost a week and I was seriously considering staying! Amazing staff, kind and friendly, beautiful tents near to the river and amazing views of animals in very close by. When you come back from game ride, getting to Rekero is the best place you can think of. Very good food quality and vegetarian choices.

There are many camps in the Masai Mara National Reserve. Rekero Mara is beautifully situated above the Talek River. The camp has no permanent structures and guests stay in tented accommodation, which is very comfortable. It has all mod-cons except hot running water. For a shower one calls for someone to fill a bucket. Shower time is limited and the... More

The experience at Rekero was outstanding in all respects. The location was remarkable, the staff incredibly friendly and accommodating and the wildlife beyond our wildest imagination. Moreover, the food was a real treat. I cannot recommend Rekero more highly. If this property is an indication of Asilia's other properties, they have a remarkable portfolio. From the moment we arrived at... More

Stayed at Rekero Camp with my family for 4 nights in December 2014. We had the best Safari experience; the camp is the most confortable it can get in the middle of the Masai Mara. The tents are beautiful, big and very clean. The food was amazing. All of the staff is exceptional, really made us feel at home. Our... More

I stayed at Rekero in 2012 and just had to go back. Mariana, the manager and staff are the kindest most thoughtful people ever. Our guide, Onasmus (Honest) is amazing in all ways. Second time with him. The food is so good and fresh and prepared with your needs in mind. If you love places like Mombo or Duma Tau,... More

Rekero offers a wonderful family atmosphere. Think hot coffee with steamed milk in the morning, lunch in the field, bonfire each night, sumptuous meals. Easy banter is exchanged and stories are shared and re-told with ever more embellishments. The tent is meticulous and offers every creature comfort. The bucket shower is a delightful extra. There is thermos of piping hot... More

By far the best camp in the Masai Mara. Not in term of luxury but it is exactly what a camp should be: superb but simple (huge East African tents, buckets showers, view on the Talek river). The camp manager Mariana, our guide Sam and all the staff were incredibly nice, funny and knowlegeable. And what to say about the... More

Two words. The Best. We have visited a few tent camps in Kenya and at Reikero, the staff, location, and driver were The Best. There was great viewing of the Big 5. We can't wait to invite our friends to stay.

We were a family of four with two kids aged 12 and 8 and we had a wonderful time at Rekero. When we arrived around lunch time, we were fortunate enough to witness zebras crossing the Talek River, which the camp overlooks. The camp itself is very well-maintained and comfortable with ensuite loos and bucket showers. The food is excellent... More

If you are really interesting a a top safari experience (not hunting safari, but photographic safari, please), this is the best option in the Talek River Confluence area in Maasai Mara National reserve in Kenya. All inclusive, best staff ever, the tents are simple but elegant and clean, the vehicles are the best and most comfortable ones, the guides/drivers are... More
