NB this is for a Rekero remote camp, not main camp (which btw is stunning) If you want the best guides, friendliest faces and very comfortable tents then this is the place for you. The staff are so thoughtful, you feel like you're staying with friends and really get a feel for the location and culture.

My wife and I, with two other couples spent three nights at Rekero Camp. It was amazing. We were greeted with cold towels and warm smiles after every game drive. The food was excellent, the guest rooms have lots of space and outstanding views. All of our needs were met. We all enjoyed the abundant wildlife on game drives thanks... More

Arrived feeling a little sick after a very bumpy safari plane ride, but Arthur and Clea were very welcoming managers. Sat us down, got us a drink, and explained very clearly about how our stay would work. This was our first safari, and was not expecting the tents to be as good as they were. While they are technically tents,... More

We are already planning our next trip back. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. Mariana, Arthur and all the staff were welcoming. The tents were comfortable, the food was excellent, and the game drives with Sami and Dominic were the most memorable we had in Kenya and Tanzania. We highly recommend you making this place a must stay on... More

We stayed three nights in late January and had a fantastic time. Everything about the camp is first rate and it strikes a brilliant balance between giving you everything you need while not going over the top on luxury. The staff are fantastic. Sam was a brilliant guide while Mariana was a a very welcoming manager who made sure everything... More

We stayed at Rekero Camp on our Honeymoon and the facilities and staff are second to none. We had an amazing stay and highly recommend the camp to any traveler on safari in the Mara. Easy access to the main areas of the Mara and several local airstrips. We were lucky to see the "Big Five" in two hours on... More

Rekero Camp was excellent in every aspect! The location, the comfort, the staff, the guides, the food, the amenities - all made for a A+++ experience!!! I was the only person in my safari vehicle and really bonded with Sam!! I was doing research on my own and decided to involve a "Pro" to assist me. Alison of TrueAfrica was... More

We spent three days at Rekero and enjoyed it immensely. Mariana runs a delightful camp. The tents are spacious and comfortable. The bucket showers were readily available and provided hot water that seemed more elusive in the hotel we stayed at in Nairobi. The food was very good, breakfast and lunch were served under the shade of a tree overlooking... More

We were in Rekero for almost a week and I was seriously considering staying! Amazing staff, kind and friendly, beautiful tents near to the river and amazing views of animals in very close by. When you come back from game ride, getting to Rekero is the best place you can think of. Very good food quality and vegetarian choices.

There are many camps in the Masai Mara National Reserve. Rekero Mara is beautifully situated above the Talek River. The camp has no permanent structures and guests stay in tented accommodation, which is very comfortable. It has all mod-cons except hot running water. For a shower one calls for someone to fill a bucket. Shower time is limited and the... More
