The food is good, the location great, the grounds decent. But the service at this hotel is sadly lacking. On arrival, despite the usual provision of towels and juice to freshen up with, you will be treated in a brusque manner, presented with paperwork the staff will not attempt to help you with (you must fill in forms for each... more

A wonderful 2 days we spent here. It was a flawless show . Do spend some time at the pavilion over the lily pond during the lazy afternoons ; it is a very peaceful place . The Indian food was authentic . The buffet had amazing variety for a place so far removed from civilization but then this is a... more

This is simply the best lodge. A delightful place to spend time. Accommodation, food and service could not be faulted. We also stayed in Keekerok, and there really is no comparison. Sarova is at another level, and deserves its rating! more

We have just returned after a wonderfuld holiday at the Masai Mara. This was a short business trip coupled with this long awaited trip to the Masai Mara. Our trip was arranged by a travel agent in Nairobi. I should admit they have done a wonderful job. This was a 3 day trip (2 nights). We were given an 8... more

Spent the valentine weekend here, woke up to find heart shaped choc cookies on dressing table, dinner was served under the star lit canopy (outdoor), with live music and a truely romantic atmosphere. I am not one for camping, but the tented accomodation was a luxury I would take time and again if afforded. In tent facilities included, electric kettle... more

We were fortunate to stay here for 2 nights over the 'Valentine' weekend. Firstly once again we were very lucky to get an upgrade to the Club Tents....Wow what can I say, they are simply wonderful, from the setting on the other side of the camps lake approached by a bridge to the fact that you cannot see your neighbour... more

Had a fantastic time at the Camp - the tents are actually tents and 5 star all the way (hardwood floors, marble bathrooms, etc.) This camp was the highlight of our adventure. They even brought hot water bottles to our tent at turndown - what more could you ask for? Food was also great (buffets with huge variety). We were... more

Sarova Mara is a tented camp. The tents were smaller then those we stayed at previously. Tall people hit their heads walking past the beds. The tents are set in the bush so there are no views. Some are quite a walk from the dining area. The staff are friendly and very helpful. It is not as far into the... more
