I stayed here as part of the "Africa Classic" tour through Adventure World & Flight Centre. It was the first leg of our 7 day tour. The tour itself was fantastic! However, I used the in-room safe at Mara Sopa Lodge and US$250 was stolen from me and counterfeit US$50 notes put in. I only used the in-room safe at... More

We visited this place sometime back with family. The kind of reception we received was wonderful. The food was excellent and on the last day of our stay the staff presented us with a full cake, and sang for us ! The kids were so excited and keep begging to go back. We will definitely be back.

The views from the bar area are breathtaking, but the resort it self needs a little TLC. Compared to the other Sopa Lodges we visited, this one was a little run down. The food is great, catering for every dietary needs The staff can not be faulted, as they are there to happily assist your every need, with their wide... More

We have been to mara sopa in month of may and it was bit rainy there but its worth seeing the natural beauty that time but the disadvantages were that animals use to ran away due to rains and its difficult to drive as it gets muddy. But the ambience if the lodge is amazing and worth u are living... More

Just after a very good stay at Sopa Lodge, Lake Naivasha we moved on to Masai Mara. Much more run down and not really maintained over the years. The view from the various terraces is now a days completely hidden by the high vegetation = NO view at all. Rooms certainly not up to standard as well as very old... More

Stayed here just recently and had a great opportunity to explore the Mara. The road from the highway is bumpy to say the least and when you get to the Park gate this lodge is just around the corner, again on a very bumpy road. Room and food were great and would definitely recommend a stay here. A little out... More

We spent one night here on our Kenya safari. The rooms are located in huts that kind of look like Haggrad's house from Harry Potter, four rooms to a building. The rooms were large and comfortable. We had a 2nd floor room which provided a balcony and allowed for evening viewing of the game that came up to hotel to... More

Went on my first trip to the Masai Mara and it was just fantastic. Stayed at the Mara Sopa Lodge. Staff were friendly and food was good. Room was very comfortable. Wished someone had advised me to stay longer than one night. All the same, it was pretty fantastic. I would recommend it to all.

The place is very nice. The lodge is near to the gates of the Mara park and could hear lions roaring in the wild from the hotel at night. The beds are good and the overall hygiene okay. The staff are very friendly and the meals are worth your money. I stayed for two nights in August 2014 and left... More
