This lodge is in bad need of refreshing, especially the rooms. The bathrooms really feel like they need a good scrub down or renovation- they are poorly built. The room design makes then not very private & the walls are paper thin. The amount if stairs in the main entrance, then down into the lounge would be a real problem... More

As the name says , this is a lodge not a luxury hotel. This does not mean that it is not a nice place but it standards are adjusted to the fact that this is far from any city with electricity. But in my opinion its a bit "rustic" style fits the place. After all what you have come here... More

The rooms are a good size and comfortable. The swimming pool is nice, but not heated. The public areas are ok. Sadly I was not that happy with the food and dining arrangments. Each meal was a buffet and the lines could get a bit long at busy times. The food wes ok, but I did not really enjoy any... More

During our Kenyan Safari, we were booked to stay in Mara Sopa Lodge and all of us were highly impressed by the service of the lodge. All of us are Indians and though we like to experiment with local food, we needed our daily dose of Indian cuisine. Astarico (Chef) ensured that for dinner everyday, we got one specially made... This is a nicer lodge with great amenities and in a perfect location. It was pretty crowded, but, I mean, it's a hotel. The food was good and the staff was very nice. Sure, the internet was slow but, uhm, you're in Kenya, how much time do you need to be on your electronic device? Nothing better than a safari... More

I was highly impressed by the service of the lodge and would compare it to a 7 star hotel. This is all thanks to Daniel (waiter), Astarico (vegetarian chef) and Peter (manager). Daniel was ever smiling and looked after our group well. Astarico accommodated our dietary requirements with delicious meals as our whole group was vegetarian. All meals were scrumptious.... More

Of the 4 hotels/lodges we stayed at during our holiday in Kenya this was our least favourite. This was not particularly the fault of the lodge or staff as they were very helpful and made a real effort with the entertainment. It was more to do with the layout and location of the lodge. It probably sums up the lodge... More

We spent the past two nights at the Mara Sopa Lodge. The property is spacious so the pathways to the rooms were fairly lengthy; we were grateful that the staff moved our suitcases for us as it would have been quite the trek. Given the rain we had each evening we would have liked the rooms to be a bit... More

There were 10 of us in our group from ages 70 to 12. Locaton was a bit far from the other lodges. Food was excellent. Rooms were very clean and big. Staff were very friendly. There was a problem when we got there but it was sorted by the manager. Entertainment was good. Only downside was the pool table need... More

We spent here 2 nights while in the masai mara. The rooms are clean and the food good and safe (however as a general safety measure we always only ate hot things, never the salads. We would have eaten also those if they had been covered. This is the main suggestion I have for the hotel: cover all your food,... More
