Located at the end of an extremely bumpy track, what a wonderful delight this place turned out to be! We were greeted with a refreshing drink and a damp flannel to remove the dust from our road trip from Nairobi. The staff were attentive and charming. The rooms were huge, with extensive mosquito netting, floor to ceiling and velcroed at... More

Though this is bit pricy but worth spending that money. Rooms are large in size with very comfortable beds and nicely done room. Staff is great, always smiling and ready to help. Food is very nicely served and very delicious. having well stocked bar and good view of swimming pool and park from the bar. I Have not seen other... More

Was my third venue, room and food not as good as other sopa lodges but the location is amazing, baboons around the lodge and the sound of hyenas at night chilling! Safari trips here are the best of all, seeing two leopards in one trip'

After having seem a few reviews online regarding this hotel. I was a little sceptical! Once we arrived all scepticism was removed. Sopa Lodge has been renovated! We had a fantastic stay here, great rooms with good storage, space, security, mosquito nets and fantastic showers! The beds are also incredibly comfortable. The hotels lounge area feels like being at a... More

I was traveling with two others and all three of us came down with stomach problems during our time here. In my case, it was relatively serious and lasted a full week, having a meaningful impact on my vacation. I certainly can't say for sure that it was due to the food here, but since it seemed like a food-related... More

we stayed two nights while on safari and enjoyed the staff, food and cleanliness of the hotel. We did not use the pools too cold . The rooms are a bit dated but our room had two double beds and plenty of room. Breakfast was buffet and good variety and dinner was ok. We had the lunch packs which we found... More

My family (mom/dad & 2 kids-11 & 12 yrs) stayed here for two nights at the beginning of our African adventure in Kenya & Tanzania. The lodge is adjacent to the Maasai Mara National Reserve where we saw all the usual animals to include African buffalo, lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, etc, etc (no leopard or rhino). Upon arrival, helpful staff... More

We visited the hotel 2 nights 3 days and had great experience and saw lots of animals in the tour travel at the Mara Reserve Park. We were disappointed we saw 3 out of the 5" big five" but the leopards and rhinos are almost extinct in this park, as a whole the experience was amazing. The staff were great... More

I stayed here as part of the "Africa Classic" tour through Adventure World & Flight Centre. It was the first leg of our 7 day tour. The tour itself was fantastic! However, I used the in-room safe at Mara Sopa Lodge and US$250 was stolen from me and counterfeit US$50 notes put in. I only used the in-room safe at... More

We visited this place sometime back with family. The kind of reception we received was wonderful. The food was excellent and on the last day of our stay the staff presented us with a full cake, and sang for us ! The kids were so excited and keep begging to go back. We will definitely be back.
