We went down for a couple of nights with a few friends and had an excellent time: the service was superb, coupled with an ideal location on the Talek river and gourmet food so far away from civilisation. The fire area was beautifully located; close to the main common areas on one side and the river on the other. Words... More

Spent two nights at Nalepo, a wonderful experience. The location is perfect: six rooms all within a bend on the Talek River, the rooms were simple and very clean. The food was fantastic, as was the service. Would definitely go again and again!!

A small, intimate camp, Nalepo is located in the perfect place in the Mara, right on a meander of the River Talek. Tons of wildlife was found within 20 minutes from camp, as well as a Cheetah kill! Food was fantastic (the only camp I've been to that has excelled in this regard), and the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and... More

Nalepo is blessed with one of the best locations along the Talek river. Set on a double meander, all the tents have great views and privacy. It is about 10 minutes away from Ol Kiombo airstrip, making it extremely convenient for those flying in to the Mara. When we first arrived at Nalepo we were taken by how seamlessly the... More

Nalepo offers a highly authentic Mara experience that is excellent value for money. The camp experience was characterised by warm and informative staff, tasteful interiors and delicious food. As a vegetarian, I was taken by the chef’s repertoire and eagerness to accommodate. George, the main guide at the camp, combines extensive local knowledge with humour and personality. I have spent... A lovely camp hidden among the trees in a beautiful spot along the Talek River--our group of four friends didn't even realize we had arrived until George, our fantastic guide, parked the car. There are no fences, and the whole camp is made up of charming, comfortable canvas tents that seem like they could be packed up without leaving a... More

A great place to get away...spent 2 nights at Nalepo and had a fabulous time. The camp is tucked away and blends in with its surroundings. While it may not be an "eco-lodge" technically because they run a generator for an hour a day, it feels incredibly low impact while also exuding charm. The tents are great, the staff is... More

In this place you have a life time opportunity to see all the big animals. I've been to Amboseli and Hell's gate before but Mara is incomparable. I was only there fo 24 hrs, but we saw lots of lions, lionesses and cabs, giraffes, hippos, bucks of all type, elephant herds. The camp is very new and in excellent condition.... More

We had such an incredible time at the Nalepo Mara Camp. We did not want to leave. We were blown away by the vastness of the savanna and the abundance of wildlife. George was a fantastic guide - very knowledgeable and patient with us. Samuel was very quick at spotting camouflaged animals. Cosmos, Kibaki, John, and Josephat were all very... More

My husband and I went to Nalepo Mara Camp in Feb 15 for a weekend, on arrival the vehicle and rangers were waiting for us, it was a very short drive to the camp. The camp itself is on the rustic side, but comfortable. We were the only people being accomodated that weekend, so we had the place to ourselves.... More
