We have just returned from kenya, and we spent 3 nights at the Mara Serena, we booked through Somak travel, and we were informed of the renovations which were taking place, having said that we really did not pay much attention to the noise. The food is excellent, I am a vegetarian and there was always something suitable for me,... More

I felt so at home here. The wonderful service from the service staff from all departments were good. I compliment the GM for good training and selecting the right candidate for the right job. They cooked and served food like in a five star hotel, in a big city. I liked all the soups, desserts and the menu planning for... More

This was the second lodge on our 8 day safari. Everywhere we stayed, including Treetops, was wonderful but the Serena topped the lot. Amazing rooms, done up like Masai huts with beaded work round the mirrors and a balcony that overlooked the Masai Mara itself. Add the resident rock hyraxes (about the size of a small terrier but looking more... More

This was my first safari and my expectations were surpasse by this beautiful spot. The location is unequalled with sweeping views of the Masai. The staff were friendly without exception and went above and beyond to make sure your stay was what it should be. The food - simply superb. And the added experiences such as Breakfast by the River... An awesome lodge to stay in when visiting Masai Mara National Game Reserve. It was our first stop outside of Nairobi and the setting could not have been more picturesque. Beautiful grounds, friendly employees, delicious food (especially the desserts), lovely gift shop, very comfortable rooms overlooking the Reserve, pool, firepit... So grateful to Affable Tours for starting our safari off... More

We loved our safari in the Mara but was extremely disappointed with the room. The rooms are small and the mattresses terrible. They are worn out and sink in the middle. We expected so much more from this place. The food very average and basic. Same buffet each night. Not value for money.

There are many things that disappointed me about this Lodge, but nothing quite as much as the deafening sound of drilling that greeted us on arrival at our supposed oasis in the Mara. We had an absolutely awful start to the weekend when we had to practically beg the manager to stop the drilling for the two days our group... More

Welcome to Flintstone villas!! Brilliant little stone age villas. We loved this place with spectacular views. Again spotless though out and beds to die for. we sat out by the fire pit after our evening meal which was very romantic. The rooms are decorated in flamboyant colours with sliding doors and panoramic views. A great place to stay especialy in... More

The view is brilliant ( from all rooms)! Animals could come just to your window. Amassing!!! Sometimes it was like watching Wild world on discovery. However you pay for that paradise with an average service. The food is ok, children friendly. Dont expect much, than you will be happy. The staff is everywhere and very noisy, too noisy: talking with... More
