With the way the walls are constructed and rounded, this is a different style of lodge to some of the other lodges. The inside of the Lodge is very spacious with lots of seating areas in different nooks. There is a lovely log fire for when the nights get cold and steps that go up to the restaurant where we... I still can't quite believe this place exists when I look at my photos! The hotel is incredible. Service polite and second to none. The views.......the views are absolutely divine. I cannot imagine a better panoramic view of the Maasai mara. We sat at the pool relaxing and watching the zebras migrating over the river with giraffes watching over the... More

mara serena was at least 1.5hrs-2hrs away from the mara gate however once you get there the views will take your breath away. the views from the rooms were stunning with amazing sunsets and sunrises daily. food got a bit repetitive especially if your vegetarian but nonetheless was of high quality

Spent 2 nights, after a long drive it was a welcome sight and once inside, amazing. Then the view, breathtaking. Especially the sunrise and sunset (with accompanying lightning at this time of year). Rooms were good with great views as well. If I go back to the Mara I will surely stay again without hesitation.

Lovely hotel, clean and spacious cabins. Animals just outside the back door. Views throughout are spectacular. Nice selection of food for meals, very caring and helpful staff in the hotel. The guides for the safari was terrific - thanks, Paul and his helper Linus. Their warmth and friendliness made the trip that much better. Saw many animals including a male... More

We were recently fortunate enough to celebrate our wedding and honeymoon at the Mara Serena Lodge. I cannot speak highly enough of the Mara Serena. The staff made planning our wedding a breeze - taking care of all the details and letting us simply relax and enjoy this wonderful place. Everyone was attentive, warm and welcoming. The hotel itself is... More

The most salient things about staying here are the warmth of all staff members. and the unbelievable views of the valley from almost anywhere on the property. The food was very varied and very good. The lobby which has been redone is brilliant. Sitting on the deck one night just below us probably 30 yds away we saw a lion chasing... More

we had a bumpy and rough terrain some few kms from Narok town to the lodge. The lodge is situated a hill, the restaurant and all the rooms over looking the Mara giving you very good view to the horizons. The room had enough clean white towels but we did not have gowns and saddles in our room. Meals are fantastic... More

This was my third stay at Mara Serena and another favorite lodging of mine. The lodge has a wonderful view of the valley and the Mara River. It is not unusual to be able to see birds, baboons, vervet monkeys, bush bucks, cape buffalo, giraffes and other wildlife right outside your balcony window. I had asked for a room with... More

Our suite was fantastic, the toiletries were quality, the food was of great selection every day which is a rare treat if you are a vegetarian. The pool we found was very deep and cold, not really the type of pool to lounge in. The spa was really nice, everyone from guest services, to reception to waiters were warm, welcoming and... More
