Finished our safari with two nights at the resort. Disembarking the Landcruiser you are simply gobsmacked at the view through the reception hall and out the floor to ceiling glass windows on to the plain below. Nice rooms with astounding views from the top of this hill on to the river and savanne. Friendly staff and an atmosphere of "the... More

As you enter the resort and into the Lobby, you are spell bound by the views of the plains. A great hotel in the middle of the mara triangle. It does take close to 2 hours of drive almost from the entrance of the mara national park to get here but the hotel is totally worth it. Close to the... More

We stayed for two nights at this hotel in this October. The view of African savannah is incredible from the hotel's outdoor places and many of the rooms. Food is not bad. Rooms are big and clean enough. But do not ever leave your money or valuable things unlocked in the rooms! Experience talks! And they don't bother with your... More

The place is quirky and from the outside doesn't seem great but as soon as you enter....from the hall there is a breathtaking view of the Masai Mara. The rooms are small but comfy and the personnel very attent and nice. There is a gym with spa and you can run looking at the valley, one of the best indoors... More

It has an excellent view of the plateau and the Mara plains which makes it a favourable destination. It's closeness to the Mara river is a plus point . The buffet menu is good and the service is great! Clean and tidy hotel with a very friendly team of staff! Enjoyed my stay at the Serena.

I have made several visits to the Mara and in my opinion nothing beats a tented camp experience. I enjoy the unfenced feeling of “being in the wild,” hearing the sounds of nature, and having elephants and hippos, etc. munching grass outside your tent or even rubbing up against the canvas at night. This is not Serena. The only reason... More

An exquisite location in Maasia Mara with unbelievable views over the plains, rooms facing east and west so choose depending on whether you enjoy the sunrise or the sunset. The western side seems to have had more game for viewing than on the eastern side, and it is a pleasure to see so many animals roaming in the valley below... More

My fiance and I stayed here for 3 nights in late September. This was the fourth Serena lodge we had stayed in during our East Africa safari adventure, and this was my favourite. The reception area, restaurant and bar area were light and open with large windows and high ceilings. It is very impressive. Our room was also light in... More

This was our 5th visit to this lovely Serena Mara Lodge over the last 14 years. The lodge has had a great deal of improvement to its reception and entrance area and the rooms now have fans. We have always found this lodge busy, even when there is a down turn in tourism. This time it was busy again. We... More

Serena Mara has a spa which was wonderfully refreshing after the game drives! They've also renovated the lobby and restaurants with large glass windows giving you amazing vistas of the Maasai Mara. The guides are highly knowledgeable about the wildlife. Great food and service! Great family weekend!
