The biggest asset of Amani Mara Lodge is its location - guaranteeing breathtaking views and exceptionally close contact with nature. I really appreciated the fact that the lodge isn't fenced. It is, however, well-guarded at the same time. The rooms are incredibly spacious with very original decor and huge comfortable beds equipped with mosquito nets. The restaurant and swimming pool... We traveled to the Kenya Amani Mara Lodge, We were welcomed after a long ride with fresh natural passion juice and warm moist towels. We were escorted by Masai to our tents, which infact are not tents but large lodge cabins designed asthetically to look like very large tent. it was the size of a spacious cabin, with 2 very... My husbond and I visited the lodge for 4 nigths, it was too long time. Specially because the the pool area, as shown at the homoe site, was not useable; We want some time at " home" at lodge for relax; We were the only guest, it was too lonesome. The 'tents' were spacious, well-appointed, comfortable, and the views of... More

The amani mara is situated at the boarder of the masai mara park. From the lodge, facing the river, you will spot wild animals like elephants, buffalos, hiraffes... the view is really amazing. rooms are furnished in a lovely and peculiar safari-style. The only negative thing is the bathroom which is not really separated from the bedroom (there is no real... More

My wife, daughter and I visited for three nights. While the location maybe be off the beaten track (and I mean track literally) it is worth the search. The 'tents' were spacious, well-appointed, comfortable, and the views of the stream and hillside from our deck, or bath for that matter, were excellent. We saw hippo, giraffe, Thompson's gazelle, wildebeest, zebra,... More

We booked a two day safari with one night stay at Amani Lodge. It was perfect. The safari was incredible. We saw all the animals we had hoped for, in fact there were animals everywhere we looked. We were extremely close to many of them (see picture below) and it just couldnt have been better. The guide (Jeremy) was outstanding... More

If i had to go back to the mara i woud not go to this place. Staid 2 nights in august 2013. Bad from the beginning and did not get any better as days passed, Location, on the border of the mara, you need more than 30 minutes to get inside and start watching. Service, manager arrogant and disrespectful. Masai... More

I suggest everyone who want to experience the unbelievable closeness of nature in the highest possible safety and comfort. The staff is very attentive and always pay attention to the order and cleanliness of the rooms. The meals are delicious, the beds are comfortable! We have only been given a few days in this wonderful place, but the staff did... More

This is a sensational lodge and should be the first one you book when traveling through the Masai Mara National Park. The food is amazing, rooms are luxurious and the surrounding plains are packed with all types of animals. We saw a wildebeest crossing and a lion-hyena standoff, all while eating breakfast on the lodge balcony. I stayed at the... More

As my title suggests, the hotel was the worst "luxury" hotel ever, but may not have been the worst hotel ever. So in my opinion, this review would be useful for those swayed by the manager's fancy talk, or for those who believe in value for money. 1. Not boutique. Not luxury. The price charged may have been as high... More
