Ashnil Camp is my favorite camp in the Mara. The staff are absolutely amazing and have treated my like royalty all three times I have been there. The tents are beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. And thanks to JT Safaris I have been able to afford to stay at this beautiful camp three times and am going back in November... More

We loved Ashnil Mara - the long trip in to the camp from the park gate was well worth it....what an oasis! It gave us so many options for our game drives over the few days that we were there. The staff were delightful and the tent was very luxurious and spacious. The fans were a great touch as it... More

We stayed here for four nights and had a very good experience. Many of the tents are quite a hike from the lodge, but porters carried our heavy safari dufflle bags for us upon arrival and departure. Excellent food and service in the lodge plus a very nice gift shop with reasonable prices. Electricity and hot water available at selected... More

Great location and beautiful spacious tents. However, the food was average.Buffets were always running short of food at peak hours with replacements coming very slowly and some dishes ran out well before dinner time was over. The same at breakfast as well.Porridge and pastries were finished by 7.30am.Some of the food was also served cold as the burners were not lit.I... Having stayed in many amazing campsites and lodges in Africa including the, malamala in South Africa, lake Nakuru and others in Kenya it was a big surprise in the most unpleseant way to stay at Ashnill Mara camp site. It was so crowded and the service was unsatisfactory to say the least. During the first night of my 4 nights... More

We were fortunate to get one of the cabins on the river where we could watch hippos from our private deck. The bathroom was very nice with a large dressing room, huge shower and private toilet. The queen sized bed included mosquito netting. The décor was rustic but very nice. There was a safe in room. Overall, the tent was... More

This was our third stay at Ashnil Mara Camp. Again, we were so impressed and had such a great time. Our games drives were amazing, our guide, Musa, was one of the BEST guides ever! We reserved 3 rooms for family and friends, and we were all blown away by the high quality of service we received. The staff, again,... More

We spent 4 days in the Camp. Amazing experience, we couldn't ask for more. Very friendly staff, delicious food. Our Safari trip was without any kind of a doubt and apart from my wedding day....one of the best days in our lives. Our driver Rollex was incredible (been doing the job for 26 years), so we saw all the animals... More

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our Somak Cheetah Safari. We could not have been happier. The tents were well appointed, clean and spacious. The staff were friendly, polite and courteous (it must be in every Kenyans blood to be so). The food was excellent- in choice and quality. One night there was even bread and... More

Let me tell a little story about my experience at Ash Nil. We were a big group of volunteers travelling from Mexico. We had stayed at the hotel for 2 night, the check-out was over, when we were about to load the buses and leave ... one of the hotel staff approached up and told us 2 folders were missing... More
