This camp is just outside the border of the Masai Mara. That tricked us on our first drive, when we saw many herds of cows and Masai village in the area, which do not make a good background for wildlife photography. But after crossing the border of the NP, this was all gone and all was good. We did see... More

We stayed at Olumara camp for 4 nights in September 2015 and had an amazing time. The staff were great and couldn’t do enough for us, they put hot water bottles in the bed whilst we had diner, they offered to bring coffee to our tent early in the mornings before our game drive, when my partner went to bed... I stayed here one night as part of my safari around Maasai Mara. The tents are brilliant! cosy, clean and charming. Food was really outstanding, fish and chicken were really awesome! Plus, everyone in the camp were nice and trying to make is feel at home. The succeed! If you are around these area, which by the way is very... More

Imagine a bush camp in the middle of a forest, with gorgeous aviary, located on a peninsula surrounded by a harshly flowing river. This is the short description of Olumara camp. As you get to the camp, you will find that there's a bridge that navigates over to the camp itself. This bridge crosses over one of the mighty tributaries... More

I booked a 3 night safari through Njema Ecosafaris of Nairobi. The proprietor of Njema, a guy called Steve Kimkung recommended this safari as being of great quality, at a reasonable price. I was not disappointed! I flew in from Nairobi and I was met by David, my safari driver, who made sure that my park passes were sorted and... More

This is an incredibly luxurious and comfortable camp. Those are hotel rooms in canvas, same comfort while allowing the guests to hear the local fauna during the night: baboons, lions, hyenas, and so on.Beautiful place.

Stayed in Sept 2013. Very impressed. Staff could not be more helpful. Big thunderstorm did not effect the tent which was very comfortable. Thoroughly recommend the Olumara camp. Food very good and wine and beer reasonably priced, considering where you are.

I stayed with my wife for 3 nights in this Hotel and had an excellent experience. Great service and food while sleeping in a marvelous tent in the wild. "Cabilo" was a great and helpful guy. 100% recommended.

We stayed for 2 nights from 2nd August 2013. We were on a safari van and the drive was a bit nerve cracking. Not sure if our driver took the right road, because we were along on dirt and gravel road for more than 3 hours. We did not see any other safari vehicles, though there were plenty coming to... More
