At the beginning of this month, my wife and I spent four days and three nights at the Oldarpoi Mara Camp near the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. We were more interested in interacting with the Maasai people than in the game drives because we had just been to Kruger National Park in South Africa and had seen all... More

Oldarpoi was awesome and exceeded our expectations! In May my partner and I visited for 4-days/3 nights. I highly recommend the camp. On our safari days, we spent 10-plus hours in the park seeing animals (cheetah, leopard, lions, and innumerable zebra and gazelles just to name a few). The sky and landscape are spectacular. May's the height of the rainy... More

I had a fantastic time spending 2 days here. Nelson and his staff did a spot on job making my friends and I feel welcome while also taking care of our needs. I highly recommend this if you're interested in Maasai culture.

A comfortable and nice safari in Masai Mara, led by people wanting to develop their society and fight harmful traditions like early marriages and femeai genital mutilation. Game drive was fantastic, with lions, elephants, giraphs, zebras, hippos, antilopes, gazelles all very close, Nelson knew where to go to find them!! In the camp, nice story-telling by the fire at night.... More

It was an amazing experience held in a perfect local location. Visiting the villages around, getting to see and interact with all the Maasai activities. The FOOD at Oldarpoi is just DELICIOUS!! The staff is very friendly and helpful, specially Marci the camp´s Manager. Our guide Lenny Koshal was the best for an unforgettable Game Drive into Maasai Mara park.... More

The team at Oldarpoi Mara Camp really exceeded my expectations. On arrival they greeted my friends and I with a dance, bright smiles and a refreshing drink. The accommodation was really comfortable and extremely safe. For extra peace of mind there is always a Masai Warrior patrolling the nights until sunrise. The food was amazing and service was second to... More

We, a Swedish family with two Children(3 and 5) went to Oldarpoi two nights over easter. We had a wonderful time there. The staff at the camp is very friendly and makes you feel like one in a big family. We loved sitting at the Bonfire where both guest and guides told stories from our countries and Cultures. We had... Okay, if you are looking for a unique and very special holiday/vacation, I can 100% recommend Kenya. I spent one month there 5 years ago and have been wanting to go back ever since then. In Kenya, the people are so friendly and welcoming, and that absolutely includes Nelson and Meg who operate the Oldarpoi Mara Camp, on the edge... More

While this trip did not include a stay at the oldarpoi Mara camp, we did untilizes Nelson from the camp to organize our 5 day/4 night safari in Tanzania. He did an excellent job organizing our tour and came up with an itinerary that maximized our time in the Serengeti and ngorogoro. I would highly recommend his service to anyone... More

We discovered this place via a google search of clean, reasonably priced, good-practices safari camps and we were not disappointed. What sold us on the place is the New York Times article written about owner/founder Nelson! He is helping the local community with his business and he is advocating for girls to not be mutilated, trying to change the culture... More
