I visited in December 2015 and was surprised to find it very quiet...ok, it's not Great Migration time, but there was still plenty to see. Lots of big cat cubs and obviously still many other animals. What amazed me most of all was how close I got to the animals. They are not fazed by the vehicles at all! The... More

There is only one word to discribe this place: wow! We had a fantastic stay at Ilkeliani. Everything was so clean and really nicely done... we were spoiled by the staff every second. They just did an amazing job. The food reallyreally yummie! And not to forget the driver and the gamedrives. We saw soooo many animals (even cheethas every... More

Lovely tented camp, very comfortable tents with hot shower and big beds. The downside is that local Masai herders illegally drive their cattle in to the reserve which forces the wildlife beyond a 2-3 hour game drive. Neither the county council nor the lodge owners are bothered enough to enforce the no grazing rules. While we liked the camp itself,... More

We stayed at the camp Ilkeliani for four nights in early January and found it a perfect place to escape the English winter. The camp is the perfect combination of comfort and wilderness, with monkeys in the camp and a crocodile in the river outside our tent, with evening views of giraffes from the comfortable viewing platforms. The game drives... More

Arriving in the dark with a grueling rain after an eventful day with a 3 1/2 hour hick up in the Rim valley due to a broken car the welcome could not have been better. Warm, informative and so friendly ! We were accompanied to our two tents, though adjacent apart enough to warrant privacy, by Masai warriors as guards.... More

We had a fantastic stay. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Our guide was absolute fabulous as we saw all that could be seen and was very accommodating to our excessive photo taking. Would highly recommend a visit.

A very good camp to stay at. All the West Wing tents face onto the Tarak River. The staff are excellent as is the food. Wi-Fi only in the common areas but works effectively. Close to Maasai Mara reserve. Make sure you zip your tents up as the monkeys are quite inquisitive. Say hello to Joel and Johnson for me.

We stayed at Ilkeliani three nights, and we enjoyed staying among the friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. The tents are comfortable, and it helped when we found solutions to keep the monkeys out - tie up the zippers with a rope! The food was very good and there was only compliments for the service. One benefit is the location. It... More

We stayed at Ilkeliani in April 2015 (it has taken me to so long to review this place) just at the beginning of the rainy season. When we arrived we very pleased with our choice of accommodation. Our tent was by the Talek river, very private with that wonderful sound of the river flowing (having just rained heavily) at night.... More

Not like Kiboko, this is real camp, with real tent. With all benefits and disadvantages. Each tent is slightly isolated and has its own space, dont be afraid about your neighbors. View to river is nice and sometimes you can see something on the other side. Meals were ok, but dont expect wide selection, but they can propose some workarrounds... More
