I was traveling on business and met on arrival at Lamu Airport by the hotel reception and promptly transferred to the premises by motor boat. Check in was swift and the friendly and courteous manager upgraded me to a sea view room. I had stunning views of the Indian Ocean!Absolutely stunning! I would wake up to a beautiful sunrise! The... The hotel organised a boat to pick me up from Manda island where the airport is located (a very nice trip with Air Kenya and a lovely small airport which is only 3 years old - the Kenya Airports Authority has done a good job). Boniface, the receptionist came with the boat, helped with bags and was very kind and... More

The best place you can find in lamu center!! The beach in front allows you lovely sunsets and all the movement of the " beach boys" while taking tourists to other islands. Wonderful service and fresh fish and lobsters!

We loved this hotel. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it is very beautiful. Now, I don't like most five star hotels or any place that feels fussy. Seriously, you're going to diss a place because it doesn't have slippers? This is simple and elegant. Our room was simple, clean and gorgeous with small bottles of... More

The rooms are comfortable and one has the option of air conditioning or the fun. The rooms are also clean, and the staff are very friendly. The hotel is quite central, and organized pick up from the airport. Breakfast was very basic. Enjoyed the balconies, nice place to relax with the view of the ocean at the end of the... More

I was shocked that there are no slippers in the rooms. How do i shower and step on the floor barefoot? And there is no carpet! Style up! The wifi is very good! Its far much better than safaricom internet.

When the restaurant has three CDs (Julio Iglesias, a Congolese band and Gospel), and when you find plastic flowers on your bed, you know you are in trouble... This hotel must have been nice, until probably about a decade ago. But these days it's highly overpriced, for outright bad quality. During my stay, the hot water failed to flow, the... More

I did not stay in this hotel although it looked very nice and had decent prices, but we did frequent their restaurant especially for the shisha, which is the only place in Lamu which has it. It's a reasonable 500 shillings and lasts for hours. Good stuff. They have several flavors as well. The food is however very expensive. The restaurant... More

We stayed for two nights dinner, bed and breakfast in March. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. However, the room was very small and cramped and the bathroom was very disappointing. The shower curtain didn't cover the tray and you couldn't have a shower without getting your hair wet. Overall the room looked as if it hadn't been updated since... More
