Stayed for five nights in the Lamu Palace. The location is excellent (right on the waterfront), and the hotel seems to have its own generator (very handy when there were two lengthy powercuts during our stay). After the fantastic review from the person that visited in January 2006, we decided that that was where we wanted to go. We visited the beautiful island of Lamu in January 2006 and stayed at the New Lamu Palace Hotel.
