We visited as a family in August 2014, despite the security warnings! Lamu island is a very special place, and seems unaffected by the goings on in Kenya, and the rest of the world! We stayed at Wazi Dubu House, which in our view is probably the best house on the beach - its a short walk on the sand... More

Lamu is an amazingly beautiful, friendly & peaceful (don't take the travel warnings too serious) island and Kizingoni beach, situated at the complete south end of the island, is paradise on earth. Haven't had such a relaxing & luxurious holiday in a long time. The houses are beautiful. They are very big, but because they fit so perfectly in the... More

Speachless…. the most beautiful beach holiday I ever had. A nice trip with a boat brought us to the far end of the island where no cars can come. The beach houses are set up very smartly and are kindly hidden behind the palm trees. The houses are spacious and very well maintained by the excellent staff. I could write... More

Mahalo for an amazing stay. The kitesurfing was best I have had in a long time! Food unbeatable. Dolphin swimming, running on beach, yoga every morning. Perfect reviving holiday. I will be back next year for sure.

We had the most relaxing time at Kizingoni. The setting is beautiful, with the beach on our doorstep. The staff were friendly and helpful and we felt very safe there. There's something for everyone, Water skiing, dhow trips, fishing, although you can simply do nothing and be happy. I highly recommend. It really is a magical place.

We stayed at Pepo house on Kizingoni beach which is approximately a 30 minute boat ride from the best airport I have ever laid eyes upon (dreamy ++). Our family recently stayed at Kuni Jogoo on Kizingoni Beach. It was FANTASTIC!!. The location and villa are both very special, the staff friendly and attentive and the food delicious. There is so much to do with walks to Shella, swims to the mainland, dolphins (but book early!!) to swim with, kite surfing etc etc.
