I'd heard it was best place on Lamu to go for a drink. Its certainly probably the only 'bar' (in a Western sense) so you'll have a hard time avoiding it if you like a beer. I was very disappointed. we visited Lamu with an overnight stay at Petleys. The hotel is in the perfect location and a good base from where to explore Lamu. From the very start the staff ( pick up at the airport )were very friendly ( a characteristic of Lamu folk ) and helpful. The hotel was charming and quaint being the oldest in east... More

Harbour location in the town. Attractive Inn with small pool on the first floor. Small quaint rooms in keeping with Lamu. Pleasant welcome from the staff but hassled by the manager to buy overpriced poor quality tours, we got caught the once. They have a public bar that pumps out load music all night! Food reasonable at the sister hotel... More
