We booked this place as post accomm after our camping safari, thinking anything will be an improvement. Our first room was a huge let down, it wasn't tiny but once we'd unpacked it was too small. Bathroom was tiny and after a shower was entirely wet and slippery. About an hour after check-in (completely unpacked and showered) reception phoned and... More

I was here four nights in May 2010. I liked the place much: rooms were clean, staff was very helpfull and friendly and good food. This hotel was a walking distance from Nairobi center, but no matatus were passing it by. For some negative thing was that our room was guite loud in the evenings because under my window was... Stayed here 3 different Nairobi nights between trips throughout Kenya. awesome central location, very security oriented, banks, fast food, mall all next door. Walk to downtown business area very safe during days. Cool rooftop sun lounge with great view of city. VERY friendly and helpful ladies at front desk and security people. Stored our baggage for free last day. Can... More

I have been living in Nairobi and chose the Kenya Comfort Hotel for my family to stay at when they came to visit. I actually ended up making three separate reservations - for the few nights before we went on safari, one night in between safaris, and their last night before flying home. I asked if I was required to... More

I have carefully gone through and scrutinized both your reviews, whose facts I would like to clarify. Firstly, I believe that you are widely travelled and as such you are fully aware of the booking and reservation concepts worldwide “whenever you do a room reservation and don’t pay for it, the booking remains tentative, it will only be blocked if... 1st of all the price is 60 dollars a night. Expedia charged 102 plus tx 18%..... Not a nice place...not a safe neighborhood...not condusive to a decent nights sleep. We paid less for the Hilton and the Hilton rocks!

We stayed in this hotel since we didn't want to spend much in accommodation in Nairobi (we had only 7 hours before starting our safari). Positive points: -Hot water (we arrived at 23:00 and had hot water) -Clean -Nice staff -Restaurant open 24 hours Negative points: -Very small room -No A/C and no possibility of opening the windows if you... This Hotel is reasonable in price. It is much nicer then the other small hotels in the area. The hotel has good security and you can walk to shopping, good coffee shops, places for dinner, etc. Downtown Nairobi can be a dangerous place and most of the time I avoid staying downtown. This hotel is a good option if you... More

We were on a very tight budget, and this was almost the end of our trip, as we had run out of time and money. We'd heard all the warnings about Nairobi! When our shuttle from Arusha stopped, and I glanced up and saw that a hotel recommended in Lonely Planet was just across the street, we immediately checked it... More

Kenya Comfort is a decent place, and the rooms are pretty nice, but it simply isn't worth the high price, not when there are several decent cheap hotels within two minutes' walk where you can get a reasonably comfortable room for less than half the price. You'll hear the same traffic noise, loud music, and drunken revelry every night, no... More

Stayed here for some "comfort" after volunteer work, to try and wind down and see what the city had to offer. The hotel itself is a good getaway from the bustling city with fantastic security (24 hour guards). We had a double room on the second floor, which was an adequate size with a mosquito net, decent fan and a... More
