We stayed at Kenya Comfort when arriving late night in Nairobi. The hotel is across the street from the shuttles going to Arusha making this a convenient place. Our experience echoed that of many reviewers. - The location is great for getting to the shuttles. - There is a lot of security at the hotel (via locks and guards). -... More

The location is great, it's just on the edge of downtown Nairobi. The bar was also a nice place to have a beer. But that's pretty much all that is good about the property. Like a microcosm of Kenya itself, this hotel suffers from trying to be a budget hotel when there is no middle-class: the rich will stay at... More

Whatever this means, the hotel is absolutely beautiful. That said, please note that you'll want to choose this hotel if you want an oasis in the old historic Stone Town, which is fun to explore. If you're looking for a remote Tanzanian beach hotel, this isn't it. The Kenya comfort was perfect for us. Loved it. The food was excellent... More

Only one thing during check in we didn't get even welcome drinks and we asked even a bottle of water but one of your staff give us a promis to bring in our room then he didn't do anything. Hope to see you again, plz... More

Stayed here just before a safari! Hotel staff was amazing, so nice and certainly made us feel safe! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Biggest down fall, the noise. You can hear everything. Windows closed and the traffic starts at 4am! The walls are paper thin, and you can hear everything happening in the halls. Decent for what we were doing,... More

This hotel is overpriced, the rooms a not very big, the tv got limited number of channels, convenient but not good for those travelling to Tanzania via Tanzanian shuttles, this hotel is situated a few meters away from university of Nairobi at least when you get lost you can always get the direction using the university as a landmark

The reception area is tiny and looks very doggy. The budget rooms are tiny, run down and outright dangerous (e.g. plug point dangling from the wall with live wires). We asked to see their Standard and Superior rooms. Standard rooms are slightly larger than Budget rooms and feature a tiny tv with some 3-5 channels. Superior rooms are sizably bigger... More

The tight space they call lobby was tore down when I arrived and it was a war zone. Dust, debris, sound, no computers to access -what a mess. Well, one can say it was only 'renovation' and it is over. The point is I was not given idea bout it. The second thing very poor or not response to email... More

Great location (cafes, supermarket, sights, shuttle to Tanzania), friendly staff, clean, cool, safe room with nets, toilet and hot shower. Great bonus a sauna and nice balcony in the restaurant. Light sleepers might want to ask a room not from street side.

I totally agree with alain p... This hotel is well situated, with very nice people, but the standard of the hotel is nothing special. No television, no airconditionning, no comfort, no dustbins and very noisy... Not a good deal.. The restaurant is open 24h a day, but at 11pm don't be difficult... I convinced them to make me a small... More
