I stay in Gigiri Homestead every time I travel through Nairobi (every 2-3 months). And it feels like coming home. Place is quiet, located very close to UN compound and Village Market. It feels safe just to walk to both these places. Rooms are nice – simple, but comfortable. The whole accommodation – rooms, bathrooms, lounge, garden are very clean.... More

Am delighted to be able to review Gigiri Homestead. I stay here every time I come to Nairobi. I love the location because it is quite and safe. I love the food and the rooms. I know the most of the staff personally and look forward to seeing them every visit. Great place to stay!

Nice fish dish, comfortable, relaxed and safe. I did like the Kenyan breakfast. Could be a little bit more clear with the customers with regards to the food. I would like to have seen some more African food and perhaps next time I will try these and the famous curries.

The guesthouse is clean and silent. Very close to the UN compound, American Embassy and Masai Market. Good food (available only if preordered) and service. In my opinion, it'really cost effective. Highly recommended.

I stayed here for a month and can say it is the nicest place in Gigiri. The homestead accommodation is very comfortable and impeccably clean, and staying in the house gives a personal touch without any loss to privacy, it really is a home away from home. It is possible to have time and space to yourself or meet other... More

I have now stayed twice at Gigiri Homestead, and found it to be a perfect base for a working trip. I will definitely stay there next time I go to Nairobi. Excellent breakfast, with option of lunch and/or dinner, all cooked to order by expert cooks. My favourites were the really delicious curries, but there are options for African and... More

I recently traveled to Nairobi for work and was delighted with Gigiri Homestead. The staff was very friendly and helpful. An example: the day of my arrival I got there after midnight and there was somebody waiting for me. Details count, and a lot. Lovely breakfasts, clean rooms. I was in one of of the rooms where you share a... More

We recently stayed at Gigiri Homestead and could not have been more pleased with our stay. I had never been to Kenya before, but one person in our group was visiting for the 14th time and, never having stayed at the same place, said Gigiri Homestead was by far the best place he had stayed in Nairobi. The rooms were... More

I have been staying at Gigiri Homestead on my frequent trips to Kenya over the last four years and have nothing but an A+ rating for comfort, service and excellent value for money. The staff go out of their way to make guests feel comfortable, the location is great (very close to the Village Market) and the large garden a... More

Nice gardens, comfortable rooms and decent home-style cooking, friendly service for an excellent price. If you want a pool, restaurant, bar, 24 front desk, etc. this may not be your place, but it certainly worked for me. Not all rooms have attached and non-shared bath, so call and make sure in advance.
