I travelled to Lewa with a tour in June 2009. Our purpose was to run the Lewa marathon benefitting the Tusk Trust. I couldn't have nicer things to say about my experience. As the marathon drew aa enormous crowd to the area, the camp was "overbooked". I was warned ahead of time I may need to stay in a delux... more

We had big expectations coming in given the price we were paying and Lewa's excellent reviews. Our tent was nice but not as nice as the one we had just experienced in Masai Mara, which happened to be less expensive. But it was certainly nice and comfortable. The food was good but not outstanding and mostly it was bland. Not... more

I couldn't even dscribe in words how incredible our trip to this resort was! The staff waited on us hand and foot and treated us better than any US accomodations. They even picked up your dirty laundry on a daily basis and had it brought back the next morning clean! The food was great and the staff always had trips... more

Lewa was our second safari stop. It was a beautiful change in landscape from the dessert of Amboseli (which was beautiful in it's own way). Lewa Conservancy is just south of Sunburu Park, and they share a landscape and wildlife. Lewa has rolling hills off tall grass as far as the eye can see, with Mount Kenya in the distance.... more

We (a family of 4, 2 parents, 2 teens) stayed at the Lewa Safari Camp for 3 nights. What a treat! Great location, great rooms (not tents, but more permanent structures) and really good meals. Nice bar too. The bungalows (we had one, and our teenaged daughter had another) were lovely... kind of mud/adobe structures with a thatched roof. The... more

Great place to spend at least 3 nights of luxury safari. A mix of game drives, horse rides, walking safaris and other activities available. Highest quality fresh home grown food. Expansive accomodations with breathtaking views. Honestly wouldn't change a thing and highly recommended for families and couples alike. more
