We told our guide to look for a reasonable place. This was about $40/night. The only thing working for it was the location. As you step out, everything is within an arm's reach. Including good eating places like Galitos, Steers and Nairobi Java house. Apart from that, this place is down right crap. The staff are zombies. No expression whatsoever.... More

We stayed here because it was very convenient for the bus to Arusha. There are at least three bus companies departing daily from outside the hotel early in the morning. The hotel staff were friendly and pleasant. The single rooms are a reasonable size and clean. The plumbing in the bathroom is a bit Heath-Robinson with a dangerous-looking electric water... More

We spent there one night in March. The hotel looks much better in the inside than from the outside. The room was small, but it was clean. The bed was big and comfortable with clean sheets. The bathroom was very small, rather clean (although needs some renovation) with plastic sliding doors. Sometimes I was afraid it can fall off. The... More

I got this place, while all other accommodations in the city centre were fully booked. The location in the city centre, near Nakumatt Life Style which is a 24 hour shopping centre, with a pharmacy, jewellery shop, banks, coffee shops. is ideal for a solo traveller, as you can get time to move around in a secure environment. The rooms... More

The staff at Parkside Hotel are never smiling and they always look weird at you like something is wrong. They are not helpful at all and it seems like they are just here to earn money and are not thinking about their costumers at all. They don't say 'Hello' when you arrive and they don't say 'Goodbye' when you leave.... More

This was my third time to spend sometime in this Hotel; it's been my stop over place. First time, it seemed okay since all I needed was basic. Second time, all hotels near amenities were fully booked n I had to spend a night waiting for an apartment in Kilimani (daily rentals), this last time, I landed there somehow due... More

A great location near a 24 hour shopping centre, ATMs, banks, coffee shops and eateries and the market. The rooms were clean and the water hot (eventually). Very basic accomodation yet perfect for a night or 2 before heading off on safari

I've stayed here many times because it had been safe, convenient, and clean. Never particularly friendly or service oriented. But now, the mold growing on the shower walls and the increased prices has pushed me to the limit. Time to find a better place with value and cleanliness. Friday nights are very noisy. Ear plugs, Ambien, etc. are essential.

Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. I happened to be travelling alone in Nairobi before going on a safari and this was the hotel that the tour company recommended. As a female solo traveller, it was definitely not a good choice. I didn't feel very safe, but the location of the hotel was convenient. I was going to use... More

My husband and I stayed at Parkside Hotel for a few days. The price for a room without breakfast is 3'500 KSH (25GBP), which is quite expensive for what this hotel offered. The staff is OK, no complaints there, the rooms are clean-ish and the showers are hot-ish. Cleanliness is very dependent on the rooms, we stayed in one room... More
