My first encounter with this hotel was a rude shock. When I reached this hotel in evening there was no electricity. I came to know, that there was no power since afternoon and there was problem in Hotel's distribution system. Did my check-in in candle light and then climbed 7 floors to reach the room. It was a really adventurous... more

Stayed one night and it was fine. It isn't modern and hip - it's a room. The breakfast was again fine. A good place to stay if you need to be in the area, morning traffic can be killer - and don't want to pay a ransom at the Norfolk. more

Visited Nairobi in Oct. 09 and stayed for a week at Nairobi Safari Club. The hotel is neat and clean, well furnished, great location. rooms are suite, very comfortable. The restaurants are good (both the Pizzeria and Safari Restaurant). Hotel staff are courteous and prompt. Wifi works well. What beats all the good things I have to say about this... more

We stayed in this hotel twice - one night at the start and one night at the end of our safari. We booked this hotel because it was marketed as the only suite hotel in Nairobi but like everyone else there, we were just passing through and didn't really spend time in the any part of the hotel other than... more

we stayed at this hotel before and after our safari in Kenya. Very nice suites, breakfast was huge, staff very helpful and polite. I understand that they cannot change GBP coins(or any coins) into local currency in their banks so it helps if you tip in USD notes. more

This hotel has certainly passed it glory days and is in need of renovation. However, the rooms are large - generally a suite with a separate sleeping and living room. However, the furniture and linen and the like is all very old. The staff are very friendly and helpful and keep the place very clean. It has a great little gym... more

My wife and I spent a night here at the start of our vacation in Kenya. The staff are very friendly and efficient and they made us feel welcome from the start. The room itself was huge and had a lounge area seperate to the bedroom. The air conditioning in our room was pretty ineffective however and was quite noisy.... more

My sister and I stayed 4 nights at this hotel. We enjoyed out stay and had a lovely large suite with views of the Nairobi skyline. Square pin plugs was a bonus for charging mobiles and video camera. The room had a large safe which we used to store our valuables. Large TV and complementary toiletries and bottled water. Tea/... more

My first stay at the Nairobi Safari Club was in 1999 and between 1999 and 2005 I stayed there over twenty times. Then I stopped travelling until last week when I returned. I was amazed that most of the staff remembered me by name and were quite obviously pleased to see me back. The hotel was always my first choice... more
