My family had a great stay at Troy. We experienced comfort on those plush mattresses and sparkling clean and white bed sheets. Dinner was tasty and for ones while in Kenya we enjoyed well spiced meals with great potions at a reasonable price. Topped all that with a friendly and courteous staff made it all better and worth our stay.... More

My friends and I visited Hotel Troy at the end of May (2014). The hotel is very quaint. If you need a clean, charming and safe hotel that is near a lot of the attractions in Nairobi, then this is the place. This a family owned property. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. Chris, Lucy and Winston made sure... More

Great little hotel, staff was super friendly, food was good and it is in a great location. While the rooms are a little small you aren't beating this place for the price. I would stay there again in a heart beat!

Ive been staying at Hotel Troy for one week now with my two friends and this hotel is my favourite hotel so far in Kenya! The rooms are good with big beds. Its safe to stay here, and the people working at the hotel are really nice and helpful. Its close to the giraffe center and the David Sheldrick wildlife trust.... More

Safe, nice rooms, and the bed where amazingly comfortable. I love it here, and it is suitable for families as well as for couples and alone travellers. Good and relaxing atmosphere. The only thing I missed was a better choice of breakfast, all I got was a toast with butter because I dont like eggs. But hey, thats a minor... More

Excellent, reasonably priced location for local attractions in Karen as well as for the airport (the hotel provides transportation). Very friendly staff, though a waiter who served on us could do with some more training. Tiny rooms, with hardly any room for your suitcases which may make repacking after your safari a wee bit tricky, very basic bathrooms, but quiet... More

In a city that is known to be dangerous and unsafe, Nairobi ( or "Nairobbery" as some people refer to it), it is nice to have a safe and quiet hotel to stay in.We landed in Nairobi airport and was pleased that we were able to get someone to pick us up from the Hotel Troy. While it is not... More

Depends of course everybodys needs, but we found this place good for us. Peacefull atmosphere, nice small garden, cute rooms, good food and helpful staff. They arranged taxi transportation from airport, visit to Karen Blixen museum and early brekfast for us.

This fairly new property offers comfortable, well appointed rooms and good food. The location is excellent, being near a number of attractions and shopping, yet off the main road, quiet and secure. I was able to arrange transportation to Nairobi National Park and the elephant orphanage through the hotel, as well as an airport drop off. The staff were pleasant... More

Lovely setting and good rooms and service. Good value. Great breakfast. Good internet wifi. Clean and comfortable rooms. Showers a bit disappointing - lacked water pressure. Good location - 10 mins walk to Galleria Shopping Centre and 15 mins drive to Karen suburb.
