My organization had a 2 day meeting in Nairobi and we selected the Hemingways Hotel after having compared prices from other hotels in Nairobi. Compared to a few other hotels (Safari Hotel, Tribe, Sankara), Hemingways did offer us the best price and their facilities and services was top notch. I must say, Hemingways Hotel is one of the best hotels... More

Terrible service. An hour between courses! Food very ordinary at high prices. Drinks bill extraordinarily high. Did we really drink all that?! There is little special about this place. Steaks supposed to be extraordinary! Were they? I did not have one and those that did certainly didn't rave about them... Vegetable poor - beans tough and not prepared.

Hemingways is situated in Karen and leaves quite an impression on you. The exterior is an unusual mint green. Once inside, it completely transports you into a gatsby/ colonial era. Brilliant interior/exterior. Delicious food n presentation.

This is one of our favorite weekend destination for lunch or dinner. They have the best steaks in town and an extremely beautiful boutique hotel. The view of the Gong Hills offers an amazing backdrop!

Excellent surroundings, excellent service, very average quality food. It was a one day excursion, interesting and if the quality of food was up to standard it may have earned full marks. The green surroundings and layout of the Brasserie make all the difference.

I thought that I was dreaming. You will have to come and experience this for yourself. The brochure pictures are not altered in any way what you see is what you get. You will want for nothing. Five stars all round.

Hemingways takes you back to a more classic time, but with all the modern appointments. The room decor reminds you of a movie set. The staff and accommodations are first rate. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here on our last night in Nairobi. It continues to be a highlight after our safari.

Stayed at the Hemingways for business meetings. The staff are very attentive and well trained. The grounds well kept and the rooms clean and enormous. Check in was smooth. Upon arrival, we were escorted to the suite which is simply gorgeous. A huge bedroom and with sofa, a massive bathroom with a free stranding tub, separate walk in shower, wardrobe... More

It is a big resort and hotel. Food and rooms were excellent. I liked the service and behavior of the staff most. They were very honest and helpful all the time. The sonna and steam bath were complementary. I loved the garden.
